A boutique Shakespeare, some of the religious aspects of the play are sacrificed for a version that proves to be an accessible, psychological political thriller.

RICHARD II will play one preview performance on March 3, with opening night set for March 4.  Scheduled through March 12, the production will perform Thursdays at 7:30, Fridays at 8 p.m. and Saturdays at 7 and 9:30 p.m.

A new image has been released for the world premiere of Alexis Zegerman's vivid, new play, The Fever Syndrome.  Directed by Hampstead Theatre's Artistic-Director, Roxana Silbert, The Fever Syndrome will run from 19 March until 23 April 2022.

Benjamin Bonenfant joins ASF as the ambitious Macbeth, who commits regicide and usurps the throne of Scotland after three witches lead him to believe he is invincible. As with many of The Bard's stories, bloody battles and tragedy ensue.

Hampstead Theatre has announced the full cast and creative team for the world premiere of Alexis Zegerman's vivid, new play, The Fever Syndrome.  Directed by Roxana Silbert,  The Fever Syndrome will run from 19 March until 23 April 2022.

Kiln Theatre's Artistic Director Indhu Rubasingham announces the full company for Chinonyerem Odimba's Black Love. Black Love launches the theatre's 2022 season, transforming the venue into the round. With Book and Lyrics by Chinonyerem Odimba, Music by Ben and Max Ringham, the production opens on 1 April with previews from 28 March and runs until 23 April, following a successful tour as part of Paines Plough's Roundabout season last year.

Good Theater returns for the second half of the 2021/2022 season with the Maine premiere of Harry Townsend's Last Stand by George Eastman. A smash hit off-Broadway in 2019, Harry Townsend's Last Stand stars Good Theater favorites Will Rhys and James Noel Hoban, and is directed by Good Theater Artistic and Executive Director Brian P. Allen. The production opens February 2nd and plays through February 20th, 2022 at Good Theater’s home, the St. Lawrence Arts Center, 76 Congress Street, Portland. 

Walking into 'The Gallery' at the Green Fig truly makes you feel like you're entering some kind of secret society. I won't go into much detail but be prepared to be wowed! Once you're inside, a cast member gives you a shot and escorts you to your seat as other actors interact with the audience, asking questions and making jokes. The venue has a very 'speakeasy vibe,' perfect for a drinking club with a Shakespeare problem. Before seeing the show, I got to interview Lisa Klages, the Associate Director and Production Manager, as well as Nate Betancourt, the drunk actor at that night's performance

An extension to booking has been announced for the Olivier award-winning production of Mary Poppins with tickets now on sale until 10 July 2022 at the Prince Edward Theatre.

At its annual meeting today, the Guthrie Theater (Joseph Haj, Artistic Director) reflected on the organization's 2020–2021 fiscal year, which began September 1, 2020, and ended August 31, 2021.
