Written by Simon Stephens and Nick Payne respectively, and directed by Carrie Cracknell, SEA WALL / A LIFE will run through Sunday, March 31 in The Public's Newman Theater with an official press opening on Thursday, February 14. Germaul Barnes, a NY-based contemporary dance artist with a global approach to movement, will appear as a panelist and master educator at the International Association of Blacks in Dance Conference & Festival in Dayton, OH, January 22-27, 2019. Barnes is a member of the IABD Next Generation Committee and will teach three master classes and serve on a panel with the Coalition for Diasporan Scholars Moving (CDSM) during the conference.

After his hit production of King Charles III, David Muse returns to Shakespeare Theatre Company to direct Shakespeare's Richard the Third, a mesmerizing chronicle of the megalomaniac's rampage to the throne. The production will play at Sidney Harman Hall (610 F Street NW) from February 5-March 10, 2019.

The Donmar Warehouse today announces full casting for Berberian Sound Studio conceived for the stage by Joel Horwood and Tom Scutt. Forty years to the day of the first ever performance of Harold Pinter's Betrayal on 15 November 1978, The Jamie Lloyd Company announces that Golden Globe, Olivier and Evening Standard Award winner Tom Hiddleston will play Robert in Jamie Lloyd's new production at the Harold Pinter Theatre from 5 March 2019 (press night 13 March) for a strictly limited season ending on 1 June. 1927's dystopian fable about our reliance on machines, blending animation, live music and performance has been acclaimed by audiences and critics alike since its UK premiere at London's Young Vic Theatre in December 2014. Since then, Golem has over three and half years been performed over 315 times, touring across the UK and internationally to 17 countries across 5 continents.

Playwrights Horizons (Artistic Director Tim Sanford, Managing Director Leslie Marcus) will, from today, November 12, through Thursday, November 15, accept entries for the Live for Five online lottery, giving out $5 tickets to the New York premiere production of Noura, from 9 Parts of Desire playwright and actor Heather Raffo and director Joanna Settle. The Washington Post deemed this "epic-feeling, nearly searing portrait of a woman torn between cultures and family" the "best premiere of the Women's Voices Theater Festival" when it made its world premiere in Washington, D.C. earlier this year. Produced in association with Shakespeare Theatre Company, it will be performed at Playwrights Horizons from November 27 to December 30. Playwrights Horizons created Live for Five in 2007 as part of their Arts Access program to reach out to those who may not be able to afford the cost of a full-price theater ticket. Since its inception, over 3,000 theatergoers have been able to attend the theater thanks to the initiative.
