Seventy-five years on from the publication of George Orwell’s groundbreaking novel 1984,  ’ thrilling new stage version by Ryan Craig and directed by Lindsay Posner, will play Theatre Royal Bath from 20 – 28 September 2024, followed by dates in Malvern, Poole, Guildford, Cambridge, Brighton, Richmond and Liverpool. New production photos have been released from Theatre Royal Bath’s production of The Deep Blue Sea, Terence Rattigan’s 1950’s study of obsession and the destructive power of love, starring Tamsin Greig as Hester Collyer and Oliver Chris as Freddie.

Adriano Aragon/Foursome Productions and Peter Allas, in association with Michael Donovan, present the 2000 Pulitzer Prize-winning play DINNER WITH FRIENDS by Donald Margulies. Peter Allas (The Odyssey Theatre's God of Carnage, Off-Broadway's Danny & The Deep Blue Sea) directs this humorous drama on its first Los Angeles equity revival since its 2000 Los Angeles premiere. With the current theatre world on hiatus, I have created a Spotlight Series on Broadway World Los Angeles which features interviews with some of the many talented artists who make our Los Angeles theatre community so exciting and vibrant thanks to their ongoing contribution to keeping the arts alive in the City of the Angels. And like all of us, how are they dealing with the abrupt end of productions in which they were involved? This Spotlight focuses on Ronnie Marmo, an actor, director, producer, playwright, and Artistic Director of Theatre 68 who has been touring the country with his dynamic solo show I'm Not A Comedian...I'm Lenny Bruce. I attended the show more than once and was excited to hear the news of its New York City and Chicago production dates, which of course are now on hold.

Celtic Lion Productions  present a rare revival of LOOK BACK IN ANGER, John Osborne's searing portrayal of the savagery of the human heart. Called the 'most vivid play of the decade' by the New York Times, the influence of Osborne's 1956 masterwork on generations of playwrights cannot be underestimated. It is directed by Aimée Fortier at The Gene Frankel Theatre where it runs through February 29..

To kick off its landmark 10th Season, The Seeing Place announces its world premiere adaptation of George Orwell's dystopian novel, ANIMAL FARM. This play is being performed by an ensemble of just four actors, which results in a fast-paced, tightly drawn interpretation of this timely story.

The World Premiere of Devin Burnam's site-specific immersive play, The Catastrophe Club, opens tonight in the Village. The award-winning Sea Dog Theater produces the play which runs until November 22. Longtime Sea Dog collaborator, Shaun Bennet Fauntleroy, directs.

Rehearsals began this week for The Jamie Lloyd Company production of Harold Pinter's Betrayal which runs at the Harold Pinter Theatre from 5 March 2019 for a strictly limited season ending on 1 June. Directed by Jamie Lloyd, the production stars Golden Globe, Olivier and Evening Standard Award winner Tom Hiddleston, Zawe Ashton and Charlie Cox.

Theatre Royal Bath Productions today releases production images for In Praise of Love starring Robert Lindsay, Tara Fitzgerald, Christopher Bonwell and Julian Wadham. The production is currently playing until Saturday 3 November at the Ustinov Studio, with opening night for press on Monday 15 October.

Theatre Royal Bath Productions today announces full casting for In Praise of Love at the Ustinov Studio with Christopher Bonwell and Julian Wadham joining the previously announced Robert Lindsay and Tara Fitzgerald. Jonathan Church will direct Terence Rattigan's powerful drama at the Ustinov Studio marking his first production at the venue as well as the closing play in his second year as Artistic Director of Theatre Royal Bath's Summer Season. In Praise of Love will run from Wednesday 3 October to Saturday 3 November with opening night for press on Monday 15 October.

John Patrick Shanley is the author of more than 23 plays, appearing on broadway, of broad way and all over the country. His early works are acting school staples, with many a young actor cutting their teeth on meaty  scenes from Danny and the Deep Blue Sea and Dreamer Examines his Pillow, yet these plays do not often get produced in their entirety.

Every once in a while, I am treated to an amazing evening of theater featuring actors who step outside of themselves and totally encompass their characters every single moment they are onstage. With performances as riveting as any I have seen, Tanna Frederick and Robert Standley are marvels to behold as unlikely lovers Roberta and Danny in John Patrick Shanley's DANNY AND THE DEEP BLUE SEA, brilliantly directed with soulful abandon by Carl Weathers at the Edgemar Center for the Arts in Santa Monica. The Rainbow Theatre Company production is the show to see this summer!

Following a critically acclaimed run at Theatre N16 last year, it is today announced that Gareth O'Connor will reprise the titular role of Danny in John Patrick Shanley's Danny and the Deep Blue Sea and will be joined by Megan Lloyd-Jones in the role of Roberta. Directed by Deputy Artistic Director of Theatre N16, Courtney Larkin, the production will open at the Old Red Lion Theatre on 6 June and run until 24 June.
