Spring fever?  If you’ve been made a bit dozy by these warm spring days the new production at Opera Theatre of Saint Louis will, with a bang, hoist you wide awake in all your senses.  Rossini’s The Barber of Seville opened Saturday to an audience that packed the Loretto-Hilton theatre to the rafters.   

The Odd Couple is playing at The Comedy Theatre for a strictly limited season, through to June 23rd.

As we all know, the 23/24 Broadway theatre season has been one of the busiest in a very long time with many new plays and musicals opening within a short period. One of those shows was The Notebook. It features a score by pop writer Ingrid Michaelson and a book by Bekah Brunsetter. The show had a pre-Broadway tryout in Chicago where it was met with unanimous rave reviews.

Twister, action-packed iconic disaster film directed by Jan de Bont (Speed) will be available for purchase on 4K Ultra HD Disc and Digital for the first time on July 9. Twister will be available to purchase on July 9 on 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray Disc from online and in-store at major retailers. Twister was nominated for two Academy Awards – Best Sound and Best Visual Effects. 

DIIV release “Raining On Your Pillow,” the final single from their forthcoming new album, Frog in Boiling Water, out this Friday. Of the song, the band says “‘Raining on your Pillow’ is a song which brings to mind the shameful past (and present) of American imperialism. Toughest Man Productions and producers Lecy Goranson and Beth Kligerman have announced the world premiere of Royko: The Toughest Man In Chicago at Chopin Theatre.

The acclaimed musical clowns Släpstick are bringing their hit show Släpstick: Schërzo to London for the first time.  The group will perform at the prestigious Wilton’s Music Hall in London this autumn, following a successful world premiere at Edinburgh Fringe 2023.

It is a triumph, a tour de force.
