The Minutes is officially in previews on Broadway! The cast of The Minutes includes Ian Barford, Blair Brown, Cliff Chamberlain, K. Todd Freeman, Armie Hammer, Tracy Letts, Danny McCarthy, Jessie Mueller, Sally Murphy, Austin Pendleton, Jeff Still.

Returning from a triumphant six-week run Off-Broadway, Border People will be presented at The Marsh Berkeley for a limited run. The newest solo show by award-winning actor and playwright Dan Hoyle, this hit is based on Hoyle's conversations with immigrants, refugees, asylum seekers, and border crossers of all kinds.

Adam Strauss' 2017 hit, The Mushroom Cure, will return to The Marsh San Francisco for a limited run before transferring to The Marsh Berkeley. Inspired by a scientific study that hallucinogenic mushrooms may cure obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), Strauss embarked on a program of vigilante psychopharmacology. The true tale of Strauss' hilarious, harrowing, and heartrending attempts to treat his debilitating OCD with psychedelics was an Off-Broadway hit, where it was named Critics' Pick by Time Out New York and hailed by The New York Times as 'mining a great deal of laughter from disabling pain' before moving to San Francisco for an extended run. It then moved to Chicago, where the Chicago Tribune praised it as 'arrestingly honest and howlingly funny,' awarding it a 3.5 (out of 4) stars. The Mushroom Cure will be presented March 21 - April 11 with performances at 8:30pm Saturdays at The Marsh San Francisco, 1062 Valencia St., San Francisco. Mikron Theatre, in their 49th year of touring, are celebrating (wo)man's best friend this season when they stage the premiere of Polly Hollman's new comedy caper A Dog's Tale, which looks at canines past and present and the enduring love between people and their dogs.

Sherry Glaser, award-winning star and author of the longest-running one-woman show in Off Broadway history (Family Secrets), returns to The Marsh Berkeley with her revised - and more relevant than ever - one-woman, two-character play Oh My Goddess! A Comedy of Biblical Proportions directed by Ricci Dedola. Through the wit and wisdom of Glaser, The Great Jewish Mother of us all (God's better half) is channeled through society's reluctant hero and 2020 presidential candidate, Miguel De Cervantes, to make potent observations on how badly creation has fared since she laid down for a 5,000-year nap.

The Marsh San Francisco presents Aren't Youa???, the newest solo show by actor Fred Pitts recounting his hilarious journey to visit all 21 California Mission churches, where he discovers being black makes him an instant celebrity a?" the question is which one? Set in the Summer of 2012, Pitts finds himself at one Mission after the next, encountering docents and fellow tourists.

The Country Music Association's popular international artist-focused touring series, Introducing Nashville, will bring dynamic Nashville artists Abby Anderson, Niko Moon, Cassadee Pope and Mitchell Tenpenny to the Pacific Rim in March. Using actual conversations with providers, Judith portrays her interactions with the medical establishment, bringing keen insight and offering a better understanding of the journey and choices faced by people of similar circumstances. Proceeds from each show will be donated to a local cancer organization chosen by Judith.

In celebration of Black History Month, The Marsh San Francisco and The Marsh Berkeley announce additional performances of four shows which speak to the 20th century African-American experience: Living the Shuffle, Not a Genuine Black Man, The Waiting Period, and East 14th. From a look at the difficulties faced by Black actors in the film industry to growing up in what was declared one of the most racist suburbs in America, overcoming depression, and living on the rough side of town, each solo show brilliantly explores aspects of life, as seen through the eyes of actor/performers Robert Townsend, Brian Copeland, and Don Reed. This funny, honest, and harrowing piece by award-winning actor, playwright, and talk show host Brian Copeland recounts the struggles Copeland faced growing up in what was declared one of the most racist suburbs in America.

Canada's acclaimed Talk is Free Theatre (TIFT) is coming to the Adelaide Fringe for the first time with three site-specific, immersive productions. For TIFT's inaugural year at the Adelaide Fringe, they have partnered with the prolific and adventurous, Hartstone-Kitney Productions, a South Australia based theatrical producing livewire theatre which will help bring to life an annual Canada Capsule at the Adelaide Fringe.

The Marsh San Francisco has added three free performances of Brian Copeland's The Waiting Period, due to ongoing support from a GoFundMe campaign and generous corporate contributions from Summit Bank, Clint Reilly Associates, The Handlery Hotel Union Square in San Francisco, Fremont Bank, OSIsoft, and Galvan and Associates in San Leandro.

Due to popular demand, the Bay Area's favorite Clown Prince of Fools, Unique Derique, returns to The Marsh Berkeley for a limited run of Fool La La: Once Upon a Mind. Full of brand new, mindfully comedic mishaps for all ages, this zany circus extravaganza invites audiences to dive into the imagination of Unique Derique as he embarks on a whimsical adventure of mindfoolness through the wacky lens of clown logic. Packed with his trademark circus-inspired tricks, Fool La La: Once Upon a Mind sends Unique Derique on a joyful journey where the past and the future collide in delightfully absurd ways.

By the late 19th century, the American food supply was rife with frauds, fakes, and legions of untested and often deadly chemicals that threatened the health of consumers. The Poison Squad, based on the acclaimed book by Deborah Blum, tells the story of a little known government chemist named Dr. Harvey Wiley, who, determined to banish these dangerous substances from the American diet, took on the powerful food manufacturers and their allies in government. To demonstrate the peril lurking in these ubiquitous chemicals — from copper sulfate to borax to formaldehyde — Wiley embarked upon a series of bold and controversial trials on human subjects — a dozen brave young men who would become known as the “Poison Squad.” Following Wiley's unusual experiments and tireless crusade for food safety, the film charts the path of the forgotten man whose work would become the basis for our consumer protection laws, and ultimately the creation of the FDA. International psychedelic funk-rock band Jamila & The Other Heroes have released their new single, 'Aliens In My Bed' via Springstoff on 13 December. The track is lifted off of their upcoming album, Sit El Kon (The Grandmother of the Universe) which is slated for release on 31 January. Their single, 'Abu Dub' from the upcoming album has already appeared in the Apple Music Mostakella playlist for Arabic indie music and they have amassed over 56 000 plays and counting. The ensemble appeared at Fusion Festival 2019 where notable names such as Kate Tempest, Yasmine Hamdan and Tank & The Bangas have performed and the inspiration for 'Aliens In My Bed' was found. The outfit has performed on several notable stages including Rudolstadt Festival (Cat Empire, Seun Kuti and Ramy Essam), the Klangfreunde World Music Festival at Loshausen, the Feminist Chouftouhonna Festival Tunis and supported the famous global pop band Bukahara.

This winter Barrie based Talk Is Free Theatre (TIFT) is turning upside down, producing three site-specific and immersive productions at the Adelaide Fringe Festival, the second largest Fringe Festival in the world. The ambitious effort comes on the heels of the company's success in producing the epic scaled, multi-continent, immersive theatrical experience, The Curious Voyage, and further demonstrates TIFT's mission to be a leader in the Canadian landscape of immersive theatre and a conduit for artistically driven cultural exchange. 

'Grease is the word' at Riverside Center for the Performing Arts from January 8th through March 15th! Travel back to the 50s and join Rydell High's senior class of 1959: duck-tailed, hot-rodding 'Burger Palace Boys' and their gum-snapping, hip-shaking 'Pink Ladies' in bobby sox and pedal pushers, evoking the look and sound of the 1950s in this rollicking musical. The incredible music, lyrics, and book were written by Warren Casey and Jim Jacobs. The production will also include some of your favorite songs from the movie, as special licensing has been arranged.

Writer/performer Kate Robards (Ain't That Rich) returns to The Marsh San Francisco with her latest hit PolySHAMory. Kate has everything she's ever dreamed of...but so does Kate's husband's girlfriend. With a polyamory therapist and sex-positive ethos, Kate begins a polyamorous marriage that goes wrong. A story of his and her. And hers. And his. And sex. And therapy. And love. The show, which was previewed as a Marsh Rising last year, has received accolades from media across the country, calling it 'hilarious and heartbreaking' (The Washington Post) and 'an audience-grabbing confessional' (DC Theatre Scene).
