__*How Sweet the Sound*__ will showcase a host of top choirs, soloists, praise teams and spoken word artists, competing across four prize categories. Grammy Award-winning composer and vocalist Donald Lawrence will host the event, with judges from the world of gospel: Kingdom Choir founder Karen Gibson MBE, the London Community Gospel Choir’s Bazil Meade MBR, and singer, songwriter and Premier Gospel radio presenter, Muyiwa Olarewaju OBE. There will also be performances from very special guests.

AMAZING GRACE Sets Fall Closing on Broadway; Will Take Its 'Sweet Sound' on Tour

BroadwayWorld has learned that AMAZING GRACE, the new musical playing at Broadway's Nederlander Theatre (208 West 41st Street), will play its final performance on Sunday, October 25. On that date, the show will have played 24 preview performances and 114 regular performances. Good news, though -- a national tour of the production is being planned by Troika Entertainment, with more details to be announced!

AMAZING GRACE features music and lyrics by Christopher Smith and a book by Christopher Smith and Arthur Giron, directed by Gabriel Barre (Andrew Lippa's The Wild Party) and choreographed by Tony Award winner Christopher Gattelli (Newsies). Following the primetime premiere screening of Concussion on Friday, October 18, at 7:30 pm, the Drexel Theatre will hold a Q&A session with the film's executive producer, Cliff Chenfeld. Written and directed by Stacie Passon and produced by Rose Troche, Concussion premiered at the Sundance Film Festival earlier this year and was released by the Weinstein/Radius studio. Cliff Chenfeld is an OSU graduate and co-CEO of independent music company Razor & Tie.

The Detroit choir, 'Larry Callahan and 'Selected of God,' featured in the highly-watched and awarded Chrysler brand 2011 Super Bowl commercial, 'Born of Fire,' will release a new CD on Tuesday, Nov. 13 titled 'The Evolution II.' The new CD, available on Walmart.com and at select retailers, features 10 new tracks, including a gospel version of 'Lose Yourself.'
