Live at Seattle Center: Spotlight on Summer continues with an array of fun, Free and affordable activities, Aug. 13 - 16, on Seattle Center campus. In addition to ongoing exhibits, performances and attractions at numerous campus destinations, the following is scheduled:

What: Seattle Opera, The Ring

When: Now - Aug. 30, various times

Where: Marion Oliver McCaw Hall at Seattle Center

Few opera companies dare to take on composer Richard Wagner's The Ring. This cycle of four epic operas tells the story of a magic ring that grants its holder the power to rule the world. Dramatic action and monumental music will lead you through the world of Wagner's gods and goddesses – the ring that tears them apart, the Valkyrie who dares to disobey, the boy who knows no fear, and the downfall of the gods. What: Weiner Dog Rally
When: Aug. 13, 11 a.m. - 1 p.m.
Where: International Fountain Lawn, Free

Dog owners compete with their pure bred dachshunds at the Emerald Downs Wiener Dog Rally. It is their last chance to qualify for the Wiener Dog Races at Emerald Downs. There will also be a Humane Society Adoption mobile on site. Website: www.emeralddowns.com.

What: Skateboard Film Festival
When: Aug. 14 - 15, various times
Where: SIFF Cinema at Marion Oliver McCaw Hall

The Skateboard Film Festival features independent skateboard films from the United States and all over the world. The goal of the festival is to nurture and encourage the next generation of filmmakers. The festival begins with the premiere of ??oA Day at the Park,??¯ by Seattle filmmaker Scott Yamamura, about the history of skateboarding in Seattle. Website: theskateboardfilmfestival.com

What: KEXP and Seattle Center Present Concerts at the Mural
When: Aug. 14, 6 p.m.
Where: Mural Amphitheatre at Seattle Center, Free

Discover great music as KEXP and Seattle Center present Concerts at the Mural, Friday evenings through Aug. 21. The series offers an eclectic mix of up-and-coming artists and nationally recognized independent music acts. The Dodos and Army Navy take to the Amphitheatre stage on Aug. 14. What: Seattle Center Movies at the Mural - Grease, rated PG
When: Aug. 15, 9 p.m.
Where: Mural Amphitheatre at Seattle Center, Free

Seattle Center Movies at the Mural features fabulous films shown outdoors on a 45-foot screen at the foot of the Mural lawn, Saturdays now through August 29, and Friday, August 28. The Aug. 15 showing features Director Randal Kleiser's film version of the hit Broadway musical, Grease, that delightfully captures how 1950s teen angst took the country by storm. What: Safeco Insurance Festal: BrasilFest
When: Aug. 16, noon - 5 p.m.
Where: Seattle Center Campus, Free

Follow the drumbeats to BrasilFest, Where you'll find colorful costumes, Brazilian foods, martial arts and music that illuminate Brazil's African, Portuguese and indigenous roots. Listen for the classical guitar, samba rhythms and the percussive beats of traditional Brazilian music, watch a demonstration of the elegant and powerful Capoeira martial arts and explore the essence of this complex South American culture.
