During July and August, there are more traffic collisions on Washington roadways than any other months, and just when needed most, blood supplies are at their lowest levels. That's why Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey® will lend a helping arm to help collect much needed blood in conjunction with the Puget Sound Blood Center.

On Wednesday, July 29th, anyone who presents to donate blood at any of the participating Blood Center locations or mobile units will receive a voucher for one free ticket to a Kent or Everett performance of the brand-new, re-imagined 139th Edition of Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey circus. This event follows tickets going on sale for The Greatest Show on Earth®, on Saturday, July 25. One-thousand tickets will be donated during the drive and Ringling Bros. clowns will entertain donors with their hilarious antics at selected sites at designated times. See the locations listed below.

Ninety percent of Americans will require a blood transfusion at some point in their lifetime, however fewer than 5 percent of eligible donors actually give blood. In order to donate blood, eligible donors must bring identification (driver's license, state I.D. card or passport), be 18 years of age (or 16 & 17 with parental consent) or older, weigh at least 110 pounds, and be in general good health. Please review the requirements for the Center where you will be donating for complete instructions. From registration through post-donation refreshments, the entire process lasts about one hour and is perfectly safe and comfortable. The actual donation takes only eight to 10 minutes. Donors should eat at least two to three hours before donating blood and drink plenty of fluids -preferably water. Individuals are eligible to donate blood as often as every eight weeks.
Since its inception in 1944, the mission of the Puget Sound Blood Center is to save and improve the quality of life of patients. Blood Center volunteers, doctors and staff work to ensure a safe and stable blood supply for those who will need it, to assist medical professionals performing transfusions and to offer transfusion medical assistance to patients throughout Western Washington. Blood Center research is also driven by a desire to make cures possible for people with bleeding disorders, like hemophilia, and blood cancers such as leukemia and lymphoma. This ongoing research helps enable longer storage for blood components and longer lives for those with life threatening illnesses.

Coming for two Puget Sound area engagements including the premiere engagement in Kent, the brand-new, re-imagined 139th Edition of Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey presents ZING ZANG ZOOMSM is a thrill-filled, mind-blowing circus spectacular where family fun is no illusion offering hours of exciting family entertainment for about the price of a movie ticket. Magical Zingmaster Alex and his assistant, Levitytia, lead audience members through an extraordinary world of fantasy that celebrates the uplifting spirit of the circus and also wards off the cynical Mr. Gravity and his team of Heavies who try to bring everyone down all at ZING ZANG ZOOMSM the 139th Edition of The Greatest Show On Earth®! From daredevils and Asian elephants to kooky clowns and terrific tigers, all the fun of the traditional American circus with a modern twist awaits audience members.

ZING ZANG ZOOMSM will arrive at the Kent's new ShoWare Center September 3 - 7 before moving to the Comcast Arena in Everett, September 10 - 13. This will be The Greatest Show On Earth's first appearance in Kent. Tickets are $75 (Circus Celebrity), $45 (Front Row), $30 (VIP), $20 and $15. Service charges and handling fees may apply. All seats are reserved, and tickets can be purchased by logging on to www.ringling.com or by calling the ShoWare Center at 877.840.0457 or the Comcast Arena at Everett at 866.332-8499.
