Classroom Helpmate
Saturday, June 13, 9:30 AM - 12:30 PM
Spring Quarter classes are starting and we still need help in one of our workshops. Class assistant's primary responsibility is to support the teacher in instruction and to be attentive to the instructor and students needs. This position is great for teens or those interested in teaching arts.
Family Clay Animal Bowls Workshop

Work Study - Studio Assistant
Weekly
Work towards community service hours or a free art class or workshop. This job is offered as part of our work study program for ages 16 and older. Help keep the historical building up and running with a clean and safe space to inspire artists and visitors. Tasks include but are not limited to dishes, mopping, vacuuming, organizing, watering plants, gardening and supporting general opperations. This weekly position and is great for teens, those who need community service hours or those who desire to help KAC in a big way. 30 hours of volunteer work must be completed prior to the start of class. Materials and fees are not included in work study.
Eastside Arts Education Fair
Crossroads Mall, Bellevue
Saturday, April 25, 11:00 AM - 3:00 PM
Talk with people interested in the arts and hand out KAC promotional materials or do wheel demonstration with clay.

10:00 AM - 11:00 PM - help move and set up supplies from KAC to Crossroads Mall (one slot open)
11:00 AM - 1:00 PM (one slot open)
1:00 - 3:00 PM (two slots open)
3:00 - 4:00 PM - take down and move back to KAC (one slot open)
Spring Art Party

Jobs available:
Bartender
We will have two bars and will need two volunteers at each station to pour wine and non-alcoholic drinks.
Food Servers
We need some great teens who would like to help out. Duties would include serving hors d'oeuvres and picking up empty dishes. Volunteers should show up about 20 minutes early to get settled in. Attire: white shirt and black pants or skirt. (ten slots available)
Shuttle Drivers
We need some adults to provide a shuttle for guests along the block. If you have a clean reliable car with several seats please consider this service.
Kirkland Artist Studio Tour (KAST)
Mother's Day Weekend
May 9 and 10, 11 am - 6 pm
KAST will be a weekend full of fun throughout the building, including art demonstrations studio views and art making projects.

Kirkland ½ Marathon
May 10, 9:00 - 11:00 AM
We will have a table set up along the Kirkland Half Marathon to hand out KAST maps and answer questions. We will need two volunteers to assist a staff person at this event.
Kirkland Independence Day Parade
July 4, 9:00 - 11:15 AM
Pre-Parade
Help decorate kids that start the parade with ribbons, stickers, flags and more! We will need ten to fifteen volunteers to set up, decorate, and take down.
Kirkland Teens, Performing and Visual Arts
Kirkland Arts Center and Kirkland Performing Arts Center are partnering to make big scale puppets to be in the parade. We are looking for a group of teens to help build and perform for the parade.
Kirkland Uncorked

KAC will be participating in Kirkland Uncorked with a booth exhibiting our wonderful instructors' works to promote the arts education program. Two volunteers and a KAC staff person will watch the booth and answer questions as needed.

Kirkland Gallery of Gardens Tour
July 26 11:00 AM - 4:00 PM
This is the first annual Kirkland Gallery of Gardens Tour featuring four gardens all within 1.5 miles of Kirkland Arts Center. We will have tables at each garden to greet and provide refreshments to visiting patrons. We will need two volunteers at each table and will need several at KAC to check peple in and take tickets and reveal the secret garden locations.
Kirkland Wednesday Market
KAC will be at the Kirkland Wednesday Market with some fun activities this summer, details will be released soon.
