Seattle Theatre Group (STG) presents Arj Barker on Saturday, September 12, 2009 at 9:00pm at Showbox at the Market.

Upon trying stand-up comedy on a dare, at the tender age of 19, Arj Barker immediately fell in love with it, dropped out of community college, and hit the road. Within a few years, he was regularly headlining clubs, both in his own country and in Australia and the UK.

He has since appeared on Letterman, Conan, and the Tonight Show. He also plays "Dave" on HBO's "Flight of the Conchords." He continues to work all over the place, spending much of his time in Australia, where he is rumored to be 'big'.  Anyone who saw Arj open for the sold out, three night run of Flight of the Conchords at the Paramount in May knows that he brought the house down!  He will also appear in a new one hour special for Comedy Central to distributed by Warner Brothers Records.

When he's not working, he lives with his family on an alpaca ranch in Northern California.

Tickets: $18.00 in advance, $20.00 day of show not including applicable fees. There will be a limited amount of GA seats available on a first come, first serve basis.  Tickets are on sale now at all Ticketmaster outlets, online at www.ticketmaster.com, charge by phone 800-745-3000, or the Showbox box office.
