Female duo Revan and Fennell return to the Edinburgh Fringe with their well-received 2015 comedy sketch show Fan Club, after recently placing fourth at the 2016 New Act of the Year (The NATYS).
Having met at East 15 Acting School, Rosie Revan and Alice Fennell have written, directed and produced their own work since late 2012. The London-based duo recently placed fourth at the 2016 New Act of the Year (previously the Hackney Empire New Act of the Year). Winners of the 2013 Funny Women Variety Award at the Leicester Square Theatre, they were also finalists in the 2013 Best New Sketch Act 'So You Think That's Funny?' and 2013 London SketchFest 'Best New Act' comedy competitions. In October last year, they reached the final of the 2015 Golden Jester.
Observational and character-driven in style, sketches are often inspired by social situations and popular culture. Scattered throughout the sketches are glimpses into the world of Revan and Fennell - two conflicting performers trying to make their mark in entertainment, and one with an ego to rival the size of the industry. Austerity measures affect a West End musical, whilst quantum theory is discussed at great length during a Hammers match - just some of the sketches you can expect to see in Fan Club.
