Full House Theatre/Escalator East to Edinburgh present: The Snow Dog, a poignant, playful and magical exploration of love and loss for children and families at Edinburgh Fringe.
Masters of children's theatre, Full House Theatre have created a fun and uplifting family show which fuses music, song, dance and puppetry. The Snow Dog is children's theatre at its spellbinding best - and features the appearance of a real life Siberian husky!
The Snow Dog is a new show which sensitively and thoughtfully addresses a child's understanding of losing a grandparent. But don't be misled, this is a boisterous and hilarious piece with a giant bouncing Kangaroo and snowball fights and that real life dog. The story follows a young girl's journey around the world as she discovers her grandfather's magical past as an arctic explorer.
Children aged 6 and over will be enthralled by every moment of this wondrous and magical tale, and anyone who's ever had a granddad is sure to find a place in their heart for The Snow Dog too.
Physical and visual theatre company Full House have been touring and creating work that appeals to all the family for 10 years. The company aim to introduce new and young audiences to a variety of theatrical styles including contemporary dance, physical theatre, puppetry and clowning but most importantly to their trademark giant masks and larger than life puppets. They deliver projects to a wide range of audiences in theatres, schools, parks, arts centres and other community venues. All their productions use music, song and multi-character physical performances for stories that are either totally original or place a unique spin on well loved fairytales.
The Snow Dog alternates in Pleasance 2 with Full House's other production Big Red Bath for children aged 2 to 6. See separate release for full info on Big Red Bath.
The Snow Dog has been selected for Escalator East To Edinburgh. Each year Escalator, East to Edinburgh helps artists and arts organisations to raise their profile and perform to new audiences as part of the Edinburgh Festival Fringe.
