Tell us a bit about Perspicuator.
Perspicuator is essentially a party political broadcast trying to convince people that I should be the ruler of the world. I don't think that absolute global power is too much to ask, I work very hard you see.
It's my second solo hour at the fringe, I feel that last years show, 'A Man Gathering Fish' gave people an insight into me as a person and so this year, I want them to give something back, ideally, abject loyalty.
There's also quite a lot about my long term relationship ending. BUT IT'S FINE.
Why bring it to Edinburgh?
I find that doing an hour long comedy show at the side of the road tends to draw unwanted attention. Edinburgh is here literally for this very reason.
What sets it apart from other shows at the Fringe?
My show is the only one happening in that room (Mash House Bottle Room) at that time (5:20) on those dates (3rd-28th not 14th) that I (Will Duggan) am doing. Check out those parameters, I guarantee that my show is the only one that hits them all.
Who would you recommend comes to see you?
Everyone.
Though if you want more precise people, I would suggest this show for anyone that feels that the current global system is letting down normal people, and that there is great injustice in the world, but they feel powerless to help it, or those that find themselves uncomfortable with the inherent privilege that they have (these are fringe audiences, hella privileged).
That or people that like dick jokes.
Are there any other shows you're hoping to catch at the festival?
Yep loads. But I'm not giving them free press here. Nah, imagine.
