Tell us about The Missing Girl of Grigglewood.
The Missing Girl of Grigglewood is set in the Gothic era with in a tiny town called Grigglewood that only possesses 4 other residents; most of which are very shifty and mysterious people. The show tells the tale of a young girl named Rose who mysteriously goes missing in the tiny town of Grigglewood that leaves her young brother Peter and her Father on a wild goose chase for her. On their journey throughout the town they meet the strange residents of Grigglewood of which leads them to their next clue in order to find Rose and although they get themselves in deeper trouble than they bargained for, they would stop at nothing till they find their precious Rose.
The show is filled with witty humour, improvisation, live music, dark slapstick comedy and a crazy adventure you are sure not to forget!
What sets it apart from other shows at the fringe:
In The Quirks theatre are a tight knit group of 6 as we have all studied together and produced work together for 4 years. The Missing Girl of Grigglewood is set apart from other shows as the cast use their improvisation skills and Gothic story line to transport and immerse the audience in to the eerie town that is Grigglewood. The show tackles a dark subject however the story makes light of the situation through the innocence and journey of our protagonist Peter who is only 6 years old, trying to find his beloved sister Rose. In the Quirks Witty script gives the cast and the audience the ability to break the fourth wall while enticing them to help solve the mystery of the missing girl.

We would recommend those who enjoy watching the works of Monty python, Tim Burton and anyone who has seen 'The Play That Goes Wrong' to come and see 'The Missing Girl of Grigglewood' as we are have similar qualities of comedy, Genre and enjoy improvising to different audiences to lure them deeper in to the story of the missing girl. We also invite all those who are fans of the Gothic World and fans of slapstick dark comedy to come and watch the show. We hope to tickle everyones funny bones...we need all the help we can get to find The Missing Girl of Grigglewood!
Are there any shows you are hoping to catch at the FestivalThere are plenty!
We are big fans of Gecko and would love to see their show 'The dreamer'. We also hope to catch 'Tape Face' as we have heard many great things about it. We hope to catch as many theatrical performances as possible as we are performing every day at 4.30pm!
