Tell us a bit about The Expiration Date of Jonas Müller (Age 70)

A few weeks ago I received a voicemail message from Jonas Müller (Age 27).

Which was a bit odd because we hadn't spoken to each other since we had a bit of a falling out at the end of last year. We were really good friends and also worked together on a few Edinburgh shows, but last year something happened and that something changed our whole relationship.

To be honest I thought that there was a huge change that I would never speak to Jonas Müller again.

That was until I received that voicemail. In the message Jonas told me that he had good news. He said that he wrote a new show, that the show would be about what happened between us, that I was going to perform it and that he'd managed to secure a slot at the Pleasance Dome for the Edinburgh Festival Fringe.

He also said that, because of the nature and main themes of the show, I wasn't allowed to see the script before I would enter the stage. I have to go in blanco.

The only thing I know about the show is the information in the blurb. It says that ''The Expiration Date of Jonas Müller (Age 70)'' is a multi person solo storytelling show about killing your darlings, facing your insecurities and confronting your demons... even the ones you (sometimes) really really like.

And Jonas said that the show will about me. Which concerns me a bit. But it also makes me curious. So although I first had my doubts about collaborating with Jonas again, I now can't wait until I can enter the stage in the Pleasance Dome and perform (and see!) Jonas' new work.

How has audience response been to the show so far?

Jonas hired an actor to play me in the show during previews and try-outs. I've read the audience response on social media and they all seemed to like it! And almost every feedback on the ''feedback cards'' they handed out after each try-out show was positive!

Why bring it to the Fringe?

It's the best place to bring new writing and experimental solo shows. It's also the greatest festival on earth.

Who would you recommend comes to see it?

Jonas said that it's recommended for people above the age of 14.

More specific it's suited for people who like storytelling, experimental work, new writing and solo work.

Are there any other shows you're hoping to catch at the festival?

Tons!

I can't wait to see what Will Greenway will bring this year. I absolutely adore his storytelling shows.

I'm also really looking forward to see Sad Little Man at Paradise in the Vault.

And of course you can't go to the festival without seeing Joseph Morpurgo, Piff the Magic Dragon, the new shows from Familia de La Noche, Sam Simmons, Spencer Jones, Tim Key, Me and Robin Hood and Red Bastard.
