Tell us a bit about Tarantella.

This interactive show has poetry, rhythms, dance and hip hop, with a mixture of the old and the new woven together for a fun family entertainment. The participation explores the sounds and rhythms of well-known poetry in a modern context. Get ready to play percussion and rhyme and tap. Bring your dancing shoes and expect the unexpected!
Why bring it to Edinburgh?
Edinburgh is a major creative opportunity for an artist to to give a performance a full run and develop the art form with the audience present.

What sets it apart from other children's shows at the Fringe?
Probably most noticeable will be its unique style and participation with a difference. Not a traditional shout out show, although there is plenty of shouting out! A lovely experience for children where the style and manner are adapted according to the age of the audience and even the most shy are gently encouraged to try out the musical instruments and have a turn. Mixing rhyme, rhythms and dance, it is very accessible to a wide age range.
Having performed last year at the festival do you think you know what to expect?
Not necessarily as I am at an entirely different venue so expect there to be many new experiences.

Who would you recommend comes to see you?

Almost anyone and everyone, but this show will not be able to admit latecomers as the interruption will spoil the event for the audience who arrive on time. Some children's shows can integrate people coming in late to the flow of the show, but this show cannot do that.

Timings and ticket information for Tarantella are available on the edfringe website.
