Tell us a bit about Titan.
A moon orbiting Jupiter; a second generation divine being; a chocolate bar sold in Aldi; What links these things? They are all under "Titan (disambiguation)" on Wikipedia. My show addresses not just one of these things, but none of these things.
Why bring it to Edinburgh?
Good point. I've thought it through and it's mainly because in January I was full of beans and confidence and thought, yes I will do an Edinburgh show. It is now July and I want to just lie down in a field.
What sets it apart from other shows at the Fringe?
I haven't seen all the other shows but I am sure they are all v boring and created by philistines. Titan however is a work of the highest art, and I can promise that I have been visited by all the best muses in the making of it.
Who would you recommend comes to see you?
NOT CHILDREN please. Please no more children. I mean, come on, it says 16+ in the brochure and then all these kids keep coming in and f**king hell, no more children please. What is wrong with parents? I'll ask again, what is wrong with parents? "Oh it's fine they're ok with a bit of swearing" - yeah well, I'm not exactly delighted about having to call your 11 year old a c**t am I? (purely for artistic reasons FYI).
Are there any other shows you're hoping to catch in Edinburgh?
Yeah I'll probably watch some theatre or something.
Timings and ticket information for Sunil Patel: Titan are available on the edfringe website.
