Tell us a bit about Slipstick.
SLIPSTICK ( a symbiosis between the slapstick -exageration- and lipstick -loads of clown lipstick ) is an unstoppable fast one man show, where the expressionist mime actor Martin Kent play over 15 caracthers inspired, and over re created in the Movies, the ballet, the pictures and the pop. Lots of parodies and caricaturism and many costumes changes and a living scenography makes the audience travel in a journey to a surrealistic fantasy, plus lot of personal laughs and absurd humor.
Why bring it to Edinburgh?
Seduced by many people who come regularly to this amazing festival, advising me that the Fringe will love SLIPSTICK, so I put this the first thing on my wishing list beside my busy agenda and am so lucky and honored they were so interested at C Venue and the Fringe to invite me to play for the first time in an enchanted Edinburgh . So really happy and full of joy.
What sets it apart from other shows at the Fringe?
The endless variety of art exposition at the festival is amazing, but a combination of crazy originality, a good over the top theatre, spectacular set and one hour of pure laughs and adrenaline only can be seen at SLIPSTICK at C Venue.
Who would you recommend comes to see you?
Since my performance pass the frontier of the language, cause is a physical body and facial expression, any age, any audience from any country will feel easily confortable, as I work behind this goal for 32 years to communicate with the emotions.
Are there any other shows you're hoping to catch at the festival?
Yess, as an Art Addict, hope to catch everything possible.... Tutu, Places, Medea on Media, Odyssey , and my favorite ever..The Cabinet of Dr Caligari with a live orquestra ,ect .... except one... is not a show but for me a great event to chill out a bit from the craziness of an overdose of egos ...Buddhist Meditation (Iam Buddhist ).....unfortunally at same time as SLIPSTICK....

Timings and ticket information for Slipstick are available on the edfringe website.
