Tell us a bit about Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find Jen.
It's a brand new hour of stand up that's not about Harry Potter. We've got all sorts in there: the futility of body hair removal, my swear replacement service, reclaiming the word spinster and setting off Siri with guffs. It's so weird that I'm single isn't it!
What have you been up to since last years Fringe?
Thank you so much for asking! I've been on TELLY for the first time! I was headlining a stand up show in Welsh. My grammar is terrible so it had hints of Borat about it. I've also been on BBC Radio Wales' 'The Leak' for the 3rd time, omg I'm a regular!
I've supported Dave Johns (star of 'I, Daniel Blake') on his UK Tour and performed at the first ever Women's Equality Party Conference curated by Sandi Toksvig. I've also been on some dates and moved house twice (not because of the dates).
What sets it apart from other shows at the festival?
Well in one reviewer's words last year 'Jenny Collier is unlike any other comedian. ***** (Edfestmag) So that was nice (if they meant it in a good way). Also I've limited it to 1 Trump joke and 1 Brexit joke so it's a good place to escape from all the news that keeps happening.
Who would you recommend comes to see you?
Everyone! Not children.
Are there any other shows you're hoping to catch in Edinburgh?
Phil Kay, James Acaster, Jordan Brookes, Sarah Kendall, Sara Pascoe, Tamar Broadbent, Larry Dean.
