Tell us a bit about your show.
Improv Actually is an improvised romantic comedy. Think all the heart warming and heart wrenching moments of every rom com you grew up watching and then mix in the fun of making it all up on the spot everyday. Why bring it to Edinburgh?
We had a 5 night run in Cambridge that fully
sold out and went down really well. We are all so passionate about improv and love any chance to perform and bring it to new people. We have brought improv shows to the fringe before and you get an amazing buzz from performing in such a creative hub.
What sets it apart from other shows at the Fringe?
For a start we are unscripted! Everything we do is made up on the spot and we guarantee a show that will never be seen again. That gives you a wonderful connection with the audience- you are creating a new piece of theatre together. We work
hard to create genuine emotion on stage whist still delivering big laughs
and a solid storyline. We are accompanied by improvised piano music which
really ties everything together.
Who would you recommend comes to see you?
Anyone age 12 and up. Couples.
Singles. Anyone interested in comedy, drama, improv or love!
Are there any other shows you're hoping to catch at the festival?
So many- that's one of the joys of the Festival! We always go and see Showstoppers
and Baby wants candy, and ex-impronauts Hivemind are bringing two shows
that we can't wait for. Aside from improv, SiX is a new musical about the
wives of Henry the 8th forming a girl band. I also saw previews for studio
9 (a sketch show) and Bigamous (character comedy) and loved them!
