BWW speaks to Bella Younger about her 2016 Edinburgh Fringe show Deliciously Stella.

What can you tell us about Deliciously Stella?

Deliciously Stella is a loveable moron, who wants to change the world through healthy eating. The only problem is...she can't seem to get her head around what that is. Her idea of a green juice is a bottle of Gordons gin and the only eggs she eats are from Haribo. She's convinced she's going to land herself a book deal though and she'll stop at nothing until she's got it.

What was the inspiration behind the show?

The show was a product of my instagram 'deliciously stella.' So I started parodying the healthy eating movement last year and it's just snowballed from there. I spent a whole day on Instagram looking at pictures of beach yoga and avocado on toast and I just thought, 'Enough is enough.'

Has there been any backlash from the #eatclean community?

There's actually been very little backlash. Everyone seems to have a good sense of humour and they know I'm not trying to be mean. Although it's a parody account it doesn't focus on one person so nobody feels like a target. Also its so silly it couldn't possibly negatively affect anyone's career.

Who would you recommend comes to see Deliciously Stella?

Anyone who has ever been on or been preached to about a diet will find something they recognise in this show. If you're sick of the pressure to look a certain way it's definitely the show for you.

Are there any other performances you are hoping to catch at the festival?

I want to see as many people as possible. I was rubbish at watching comedy last year so I have A LOT of catching up to do.
