BWW speaks to Baby Wants Candy about the two shows they are bringing to the 2016 Edinburgh Fringe.

Who are Baby Wants Candy?

We're veteran improvisers from the US bringing two insanely hilarious musical comedy shows to the Fringe!

What do you have in store for us this year?

We've got two shows for you; firstly, our newly-updated musical parody of Game of Thrones, Thrones! The Musical. That's a scripted show that sold out last year's Fringe and for no particular reason at all has a lot more Hodor in it this year (SPOILER). And then for the 7th year in a row we'll be performing our signature improvised musical, Baby Wants Candy. We've got a full rock band and some foolhardy Americans, all we need is a single suggestion from the audience and we'll create an entire show on the spot!

Has it ever gone wrong?

That's the wrong question! The question is: has it ever gone RIGHT? Wait, no, that's not it either. With Thrones we've had a few technical glitches here and there, but nothing serious. With Baby Wants Candy, well... every night something goes slightly askew, and it's our job to turn that into comedy gold.

You have received huge critical acclaim worldwide- is there a lot of pressure to live up to that?

No, we love it. We love the Fringe and we love the reputation we've built up here over the years, and we love the Audience members that make us one of their "must see shows" every year.

Do you have any advice for anyone making their debut at the Fringe this year?

Honestly, the first year will seem like utter chaos. Just breathe, enjoy it, go see other shows, and make sure you walk up Arthur's Seat as soon as you get here, because by the end of the month, when you aren't performing, you are mostly going to want to lie down.

Ticket information for Baby Wants Candy and Thrones! The Musical Parody are available on the edfringe website.
