Headboggle is the manifestation of Derek Gedalecia's acoustic/electronic performance-art research utilizing his very own kitchen sink which at any moment might yield up Moog, Harmonica, Banjo, Harpsichord, Irish Harp, EMS Synthi, Violin, Drums, Clavinet, Serge Modular, field recordings, or your very own squirming brain. Not all cult leaders want to arm, molest, starve, bore and poison you. Some are in it for the fun bedsheet fashions and baffling powerpoint slideshows, only too happy to see you head safely home after a bit of good clean metallurgic sonification using ancient foodstuffs. Shri Robideaux is such a one. Even so, don't lock big round eyes with him for too long lest the ecstatic spirit of the shrimpdance seize you. His collaborations with neurodiverse artists reach audiences of every smeary stripe. Whether with guitar or eurorack, voice or overhead projector, Robidoux transforms materiality through touch, movement, light and sounds that exclude neither noise nor melody. Since he knows no bounds, the materials he transforms inside the Peacock Lounge will quite surely include your own.
