Voicehandler
Danishta Rivero and Jacob Felix Heule comprise the singular duo, Voicehandler. Rivero modifies her extended vocal technique, sometimes using a water-based electro-acoustic instrument of her own invention, the Hydrophonium. Heule performs a sonic anti-aliasing in real time through micro percussion and electronics that must be heard closely to be believed. Voice Handler's librettos have drawn upon sources as varied as Luis Borges, Knut Hamsun, Eduardo Galeano, and William Burroughs.

FOREIGN/DOMESTIC
The duo of Zachary James Watkins & John Diaz augurs high vibration resonance, making transparent the phenomenon of emotion and sound. Working it out in real time it can be unclear whether your flesh just turned to goosebumps in excitement or danger but life is fun that way: fight or flee, go or stay, blow or belong. When faced with such choices, always take both. Nothing is softer than ashes.

Analogous
Celebrating the fusion of many different musical styles - electroacoustic, electronic, ambient, and noise, Silvia Matheus and Thomas Miley are bold and progressive in thier application of analog and digital technologies. In the 1980s, Matheus built music scores/controllers made of glass etched with conductive painting that interfaced with electronic instruments, the score acting as a controller. Since those days she's gone on to compose for multi-media installations and radio plays featured on the ICMA label and at festivals worldwide. Don't miss their newest effluence as Analogous performs live inside the Peacock Lounge.

Dovetail
New! But this debut performance as a duo is only the newest emanation from the combined mind and heart of Raub Roy (Scy1e, Horaflora) & Diane Eveland (Nurse Betty, FootSOS.) In their endurance-art quartet, Homoglochini, the idea was to play endlessly, like a desert extending past the horizon as visitors come and go. Their combined efforts on the Weird Ear record label are likewise tireless and unbound. So the surprise isn't that a new project will emerge from them, it'll be the revelation of where it transports us using bass, voice, efx... and whether any of us will ever know magnetic north again.
