Musical Director - Eric Bellah
With a balanced look at the "joys" of growing older, through a cast of three men and three women, Mid-Life! strikes a chord with anyone regardless of age. A series of scenes and sketches poke fun at the frustrations of mammograms, love handles, weekend warriors and proctology exams. The cleverly crafted songs celebrate forgetfulness, reading glasses and menopause, but also touch on the sentimental wisdom that the later years afford us. Mid-Life! is a hilarious romp with an honest humor about the trials and tribulations of the unavoidable aging process. Welcome to Mid-Life!
All roles are open. The cast consists of 3 men and 3 women (could be flexible) for adults 40 and up.

dmtc.orgBased on the popular comic strip, Annie Junior tells of a spunky Depression-era orphan determined to find her parents, who abandoned her years ago on the doorstep of a New York City Orphanage run by the cruel Miss Hannigan. In adventure after fun-filled adventure, Annie foils Miss Hannigan's evil machinations, befriends President Franklin Roosevelt and finds a new family in billionaire Oliver Warbucks, his personal secretary
Grace Farrell and a lovable mutt named Sandy.
Its upbeat plot and flamboyant characters have made Annie one of the most beloved musicals in history. What girl hasn't dreamed of assuming the title role or playing the outrageous Miss Hannigan? Cast size is flexible, and the age range of the parts makes the show ideal for productions involving different grade levels, or for middle schools where students may be maturing at different rates.
The bright, tuneful score is easy to sing and filled with so many familiar numbers; don't be surprised if your cast starts teaching the songs to you! A surefire hit, Annie Junior is also a great way to study the Depression and the New Deal, and to address such issues as unemployment, homelessness and adoption.
(Synopsis courtesy of MTI Website)
Needed:
Annie - Annie is a tough streetwise urchin who is, nevertheless; vulnerable when she thinks she might lose what has become most important to her: a newfound "family" who loves her. Throughout the show she shows independent, needy, maternal, and hopeful qualities. Although she is at times aggressive or crafty, there is no doubt that Annie is a friendly and caring child.
Miss Hannigan - Miss Hannigan is the harsh orphanage matron. Her distaste for her job and the children is obvious in every move she makes. She is predictable and funny in her ridiculous, cruel ways.
Oliver Warbucks - A powerful, self-assured billionaire who always has his mind on business. While sometime gruff and abrupt he has a kind heart. At first he is awkwardly affectionate toward Annie, but he soon finds himself completely charmed by her.
Grace Farrell - She is the beautiful and loyal private secretary to Oliver Warbucks. Grace is mature, calm, and classy. She is businesslike when dealing with Miss Hannigan and Warbucks, yet maternal toward Annie.
Rooster Hannigan- Miss Hannigan's despicable brother. Rooster is flashy and selfassured. His "moves" are as smooth as a gambler's, sly, and deceiving.
Lily St. Regis - Lily is Rooster's airhead girlfriend. She is always distracted, although she manages to pick up on any conversation involving money.
Orphans - These girls are gritty, neglected, vulnerable, yet basically honest, and potentially lovable. They mischievous fun with each other and also have "sibling-style" fights.
Molly - The littlest orphan.
Pepper - The toughest girl in the orphanage.
Duffy - The oldest girl in the orphanage.
Kate - The next to littlest orphan.
Tessie - The crybaby in the orphanage.
July - The quietest orphan.
Servants - Oliver Warbucks' domestic staff. Their presence, posture, and speech is proper and fastidious.
Drake - The English butler.
Cecille - A French maid.
Annette - A French maid.
MrS. Greer - The head housekeeper.
Mrs. Pugh - The chef.
The servants listed above as well as a large ensemble will play the butlers and maids, NYC Citizens, Radio show players (Bert/Gurt Healey, the Boylan Sisters, the "Masked Announcer", Mr./Mrs. McCraken, etc.) and audience, President Roosevelt, his cabinet and aides.
