WITCHING HOUR SOCIAL CLUB by James Lucey, a horror anthology for the stage at Burbage Theatre Co

Burbage Theatre Co. presents Witching Hour Social Club, a world-premiere horror anthology play by James Lucey. This special Halloween event offers audiences a unique theatrical experience, blending the tension of campfire stories with the fear and suspense of classic horror.

Inspired by anthologies like Creepshow, Tales from the Crypt, and Are You Afraid of the Dark?, Witching Hour Social Club delves into three gripping tales framed within a larger narrative. Two estranged friends reunite in the woods for the first gathering of their high school storytelling club in over 15 years. As they wait for other members to arrive, they listen to cassette tapes of their old campfire stories. But what begins as a nostalgic journey quickly turns into something far more unsettling, as the stories take on a life of their own.

Directed by Allison Crews (Collective Rage, Witch), the play brings together a large ensemble of local talent to deliver a thrilling exploration of the horror genre in live theatre.

Witching Hour Social Club runs from October 18 to October 31 at Burbage Theatre Co.’s Wendy Overly Studio Theatre in Pawtucket, RI. The limited engagement includes seven performances, with a Halloween night finale, offering a must-see experience for fans of terror and suspense.
