Stephen Mosher reports the facts and presents the pics of the Ava Nicole Frances show.

Review: THE ROCKY HORROR SHOW Thrills Edmonton
Edmonton: Sarah Dussome on October 31, 2024

After their car breaks down in a rainstorm, sweethearts Brad and Janet knock on the door of a nearby castle, asking to use the phone. They are whisked inside by a candelabra-toting butler and into the streamer-filled lair of a scantily clad mad scientist, Dr. Frank ‘n Furter.

Review: LUCIE ARNAZ: I GOT THE JOB!- SONGS FROM MY MUSICAL PAST at Feinstein's At The Nikko
San Francisco / Bay Area: Steve Murray on October 31, 2024

A sold out two-night engagement at Feinstein’s at the Nikko was a testament to the enduring draw power of veteran actor/director/song stylist Lucie Arnaz. Those in attendance were treated to a reprise of her well-crafted, autobiographical concert performed and recorded live at the Purple Room in Palm Springs last year.

Review: Josh Groban's FIND YOUR LIGHT BENEFIT CONCERT at Jazz at Lincoln Center was magical
Cabaret: Nathan Johnson on October 31, 2024

The night’s entertainment, including performances by the likes of Sara Bareilles, Josh Groban and Lin Manuel Miranda was extraordinary. Find Your Light is fueled by a clear mission: to bridge the gap where arts education is scarce and support the teachers who make these programs possible.

Review: BEST KEPT SECRET: TELL EVERYONE at The Second City E.t.c.
Chicago: Rachel Weinberg on October 31, 2024

The Second City’s latest e.t.c. revue BEST KEPT SECRET: TELL EVERYONE wants to remind audiences that life is a cabaret, old chum. While some Second City revue themes hang together better than others, BEST KEPT SECRET slyly pays homage to the classic Kander and Ebb musical CABARET and the general idea of cabaret shows.

Review: RIGOLETTO, London Coliseum
UK / West End: Franco Milazzo on October 31, 2024

There’s no shame in pulling an old favourite from the vaults but Jonathan Miller’s 1982 gangster-themed production is firing blanks in this latest revival.

Review: HADESTOWN at Segerstrom Center For The Arts
Los Angeles: Melissa Heckscher on October 31, 2024

In the end, the show is all about seduction, and it has all the dark, gritty sex appeal of a dingy French Quarter speakeasy. That is to say: It’s got the sultry rhythm and blues to sweep you into the fun even if you don’t know exactly why you’re there.

Review: LA CAGE AUX FOLLES at Palm Canyon Theatre
Palm Springs: Charlie Thomas on October 31, 2024

What did our critic think of LA CAGE AUX FOLLES at Palm Canyon Theatre? Based on the 1973 French play of the same name by Jean Poiret, the musical gets the star treatment from composer/lyricist Jerry Herman and book by Harvey Fierstein and has become a gay cult classic since it’s Broadway debut in 1983.

A Series Of Shadowy Events: Happenstance Theater's CABARET NOIR
Baltimore: Cybele Pomeroy on October 31, 2024

Imagine ‘40s fashions, stark lighting, shadow-play, fog, fedoras, fistfights, physical comedy, femmes fatales, torch songs, desperation, dance, and dozens of puns: Happenstance Theater’s CABARET NOIR at Baltimore’s Theatre Project on Preston Street will thrill you with high-contrast comedy, drama and music through November 10th, 2024.

Review: BERNADETTE PETERS at Carnegie Hall Is Iconic
Cabaret: Rebecca Kaplan on October 31, 2024

Renowned Broadway singer Bernadette Peters made a stunning return to Carnegie Hall on Monday October 27, 2024. It had been nearly 30 years since her last show there in 1997, but it was well worth the wait. The show kicked off Carnegie Hall's 2024-25 Original series which continues tomorrow night with Pink Martini on 11/1

Review: 'INCIDENT AT OUR LADY OF PERPETUAL HELP' at North Coast Repertory Theatre
San Diego: ErinMarie Reiter on October 31, 2024

Who remembers the 1970s? This question is asked at the start of “Our Lady of Perpetual Help,” but no matter the answer, North Coast Repertory Theatre brings them vividly to life in this bittersweet family comedy, which plays through November 17th.

Review: THE ADDAMS FAMILY at Syrena Theatre
Poland: Natalia Jarczynska on October 31, 2024

And this one is no exception. If I had to point out any weak spots, well, this review would end right here because, honestly, there aren’t any. Instead, let me take you into the sea of brilliance that director Jacek Mikolajczyk has pulled us into.

Review: & JULIA at Stage Operettenhaus Hamburg
Germany: Martin Ganeider on October 31, 2024

Do we need a Musical packed with Hits from Max Martin ( Producer/ Songwriter for Britney Spears, Backstreet Boys, Pink, Katy Perry, Justin Timberlake, Celine Dion, and many others)?

REVIEW: The SIX Wives of Henry VIII Hold Court At The Theatre Royal For A Fourth Sydney Season

The rock concert musical history lesson, SIX, delights and educates for another Sydney season.

Review: GUARDS AT THE TAJ, Orange Tree Theatre
UK / West End: Aliya Al-Hassan on October 31, 2024

Who owns beauty? How far would you go to obey orders? What is the ultimate price of friendship? Rajiv Joseph's thought-provoking and blackly comic play, Guards at the Taj, explores power, obediance, human curiosity and allegiance, beautifully directed by 2024’s recipient of the JMK Award, Adam Karim.

Review: LEGACY, Royal Ballet and Opera
UK / West End: Matthew Paluch on October 31, 2024

It’s interesting to consider that ballet began its development in the mid 16th century, however it wasn't until around 400 years later that BIPOC (American) dancers Maria Tallchief, Raven Wilkinson and Arthur Mitchell, first joined ballet companies.

Review: BARCELONA, Duke of York's Theatre
UK / West End: Aliya Al-Hassan on October 31, 2024

A couple crash through the door of a Barcelona apartment in a passionate embrace, but this ardour quickly cools as cultural and personal clashes take over. Collins and Morte are both impressively natural on stage, but without their billing, it is highly doubtful this play would have made it to the West End.

Review: THE LEGEND OF SLEEPY FLURFFY at Arkansas Museum Of Fine Arts
Arkansas: Theresa Bertram on October 30, 2024

What did our critic think of THE LEGEND OF SLEEPY FLURFFY at Arkansas Museum Of Fine Arts?

Review: ROGUES Premieres at The Stage At Burke Junction
Sacramento: Courtney Symes on October 30, 2024

The numbers vary by source, but over fifty million Americans care for an elderly or disabled family member. Many do so while holding other jobs and receiving no respite. It’s a topic that all of us can relate to in some way. Local playwright Charlotte Higgins, nationally recognized for her other works, addresses this unifying issue in her new play, ROGUES. Director Lori Russo is at the helm of its West Coast premiere at The Stage at Burke Junction.
