Burning Coal Theatre Company To Give Away 30 Tickets To 1960

Burning Coal Theatre Company has thirty (30) free tickets to its current production of 1960 on Saturday, April 11.  In order to claim the free tickets, you must:

Attend the Lobby Lecture with playwright Ian Finley beginning at 6:15 p.m.; and

Attend the performance of 1960 on Saturday, April 11th beginning at 7:30 p.m.; and

Email in advance to this email address to reserve your tickets:  burning_coal@ipass.net.

Only those who attend the Lobby Lecture are eligible for the free tickets, which will be given out on a first come, first served basis based upon timestamp of your email request.

This project is made possible in part by the North Carolina Humanties Council, a state affiliate of the National Endowment for the Humanities.

Burning Coal Theatre Company, a small professional, theatre based in Raleigh, North Carolina will conclude its 2008/2009 season with the world premiere of 1960, written by Ian Finley and the Burning Coal Theatre Company, directed by Jerome Davis, Burning Coal's Artistic Director.

The production runs April 9 - 26, 2009 at Meymandi Theatre at the Murphey School, 224 Polk Street, Raleigh, NC. Performances are April 9 - 11, 16 - 18 and 23 - 25 at 7:30 pm and April 12, 19 and 26 at 2 p.m.

All performances are Thursdays through Saturdays at 7:30 pm and Sundays at 2 pm. All tickets are $20 or $15 (students, seniors 65+ and active military personnel). Thursday night tickets are $10 apiece accept for the opening night gala on April 9, which is $30. They also have $5 student rush tickets available 5 minutes before each performance. The first Sunday of the run, April 12th at 2 p.m. will be the 'Pay What You Can' performance.
