The Crossing, a three-time GRAMMY Award-winning professional chamber choir under the direction of Donald Nally, embarks on its 20th season with What belongs to me. This new program features original works by prominent composers including Ayanna Woods, David Lang, Shara Nova, and Gabriela Ortiz, exploring themes of connection to the Earth and each other amid the struggles of capitalism and social expectations. The season also includes performances of the New York premiere of Can We Know the Sound of Forgiveness and the return of David Lang's thought-provoking poor hymnal. Celebrated for its innovative collaborations and commitment to new music, The Crossing continues to address pressing social and environmental issues through its artistry.
