We Have Gone As Far As We Can Together is a world premiere ritual opera created by Helga Davis, Charlotte Brathwaite, Sunder Ganglani, and Cauleen Smith. This collaborative performance invites audience members to participate in a communal experience by singing mantras alongside a chorus of Philadelphia voices. Drawing inspiration from the spiritual and musical traditions of artists like Alice Coltrane and Sun Ra, the work explores themes of release and transformation, encouraging listeners to let go of outdated ideas. The performance runs from November 1 to November 9, 2024, at FringeArts in Philadelphia.
