Cast Announced For The World Premiere Of HAZING U: A MODERN GREEK TRAGEDY
LA TI DO Productions has announced the multicultural cast for the world premiere of Hazing U: A Modern Greek Tragedy, a new play penned by Zachary Harris Martin - also playing the role of Ezra. The cast features Alexander Rios (Off-Broadway's Pip's Island) as Chase, Benjamin Ubiñas as Scott, Matt Caccamo (Off-Broadway's Fiorello!) as Adam, Reginald Keith Jackson (Off-Boradway's Puffs) as Parker, and Samson Dubé as Axel.
Steven Cutts Set To Direct World Premiere Of HAZING U: A MODERN GREEK TRAGEDY
LA Ti DO Productions has announced Camp movie actor and Hairspray Broadway alum, turned writer-director, Steven Cutts, will helm the world premiere of Hazing U: A Modern Greek Tragedy, a new play penned by Zachary Harris Martin. David Robert Moore (War Horse) will associate direct, and Courtney Reed (Aladdin, In the Heights) joins in a consulting role. Don Mike Mendoza of LA Ti DO serves as Executive Producer, with casting to be announced.

Actress/Producer Tal Fox is about to open in the rarely produced In Trousers at The Lounge. In our conversation she tells us about this and her other theatrical chestnuts. TAL FOX - Tal is an LA-based actress, singer and theater educator. Theater credits include: Max & Ruby (National Tour), The Christians (Center Theatre Group), Star Is Born 3, Unauthorized Musical Parody of Mean Gurlz (The Rockwell), Kiss Me, Kate, Urinetown, Sunday in the Park with George, Zorba, Hello Again, The Spitfire Grill, Ragtime... Tal holds a BFA in Musical Theater and BA in Communications from Pace University, and is also a producer, writer, and casting director. Producing credits include: Star is Born 3 (The Rockwell) and Dreamgirls (5-Star Theatricals). Spanning 1915 to 1919, set against the backdrop of Boston's Italian North End Immigrants, MOLASSES IN JANUARY is a charming historical fiction musical that tells the story of Anna, a single mother doing her best to raise her children in a world caught up in the turmoil of the first World War. As rumors grow about the potential construction of an enormous molasses tank that will be used to make liquor and gun powder for the war, so do the hopes for potential prosperity. But suddenly on an unusually warm January day, the tank bursts and two million gallons of molasses come crashing down around Anna and her family discovers that life can change in a moment. The music of MOLASSES IN JANUARY is performed in the traditional style of the Great American Song Book, similar to Fiddler on the Roof and Gypsy.

MOLASSES IN JANUARY, an original new musical about a struggling family of Italian immigrants who are literally swept up in the Boston Molasses disaster of 1919, will make its full Off-Broadway premiere on Wednesday, May 2, 2018 and have an open run in the Jerry Orbach Theatre at The Theater Center, located at 1627 Broadway. Written and composed by Francine Pellegrino and directed by Whitney Stone with musical direction by Michael Wittenburg, this spirited new musical will have its official opening on Thursday, May 24th at 5PM.

The Jewish Museum to Display Multi-Generational UNORTHODOX Exhibit, Today
New York, NY -This November, the Jewish Museum will present Unorthodox, a large-scale group exhibition featuring 55 contemporary artists from around the world whose practices mix forms and genres without concern for artistic conventions. Though the artists in Unorthodox come from a wide variety of backgrounds and generations, they are united in their spirit of independence and individuality. Through over 200 works, the exhibition will highlight the importance of iconoclasm and art's key role in breaking rules and traditions. Organized by Jens Hoffmann, Deputy Director, Exhibitions and Public Programs, Leon Levy Assistant Curator Daniel S. Palmer, and Assistant Curator Kelly Taxter, Unorthodox will be on view from November 6, 2015through March 27, 2016.
