On Saturday, September 9th, the Land of Oz illuminated Balboa Bay Resort in Newport Beach at Celebration of Global Friendships: Emerald City. The Oz-inspired soiree benefited Mission Plasticos, a local nonprofit that provides free reconstructive surgery through a team of board-certified volunteer surgeons to those who need it most throughout the world. PB Poetry Festival 2020 Special Guest Poet Joy Harjo Is Named U.S. Poet Laureate
Susan Williamson, Director of the Palm Beach Poetry Festival, today congratulated Joy Harjo, who will be the Special Guest Poet at the 16th annual festival, for being named the 23rd U.S. Poet Laureate yesterday. A poet, writer and musician from Oklahoma, Harjo-a member of the Muscogee Creek Nation-often draws on Native American stories, languages and myths.

Susan Williamson, Director of the Palm Beach Poetry Festival, today announced that Joy Harjo will be the Special Guest Poet at the 16th annual festival that will be held January 20-25, 2020 at Old School Square in Delray Beach. An award-winning Native American poet and musician from Oklahoma, Harjo was recently named a Chancellor of the Academy of American Poet.
PB Poetry Festival Names Robert Hass as Special Guest Poet in 2016
Susan Williamson, Director of the Palm Beach Poetry Festival, today announced that Robert Hass, former United States Poet Laureate (1995-1997) and 2008 Pulitzer Prize winner, will serve as Special Guest Poet at the 12th annual Palm Beach Poetry Festival, which will be held next January 18-23 at the Delray Beach Center for the Arts.
