Theatre West will present its second annual celebration of Pride Month, Proud Out Loud, on Friday, June 23 and Saturday, June 24, 2023 at 8:00 p.m. Admission is FREE, but donations will be gratefully accepted. Reservations are not necessary.

The Group Rep presents “The Laramie Project” written by Moises Kaufman, Ms. Leigh Fondakowski and The Techtonic Theater Project, directed by Kathleen Delaney, produced by Bill Fitzhugh & Danica Waitley for the Group Rep.

Two Roads Theatre will present Heavenly Country, the world premiere engagement of a jukebox musical written by Joel Russell. Directed by L. Flint Esquerra, music directed by Paul Cady, and produced by Russell Media, the production will run March 24- April 22, 2023. Fridays at 8 p.m., Saturdays at 3 p.m. and 8 p.m.

Theatre West will be the host venue for The 36th Annual Robby Awards ceremony, celebrating excellence in theatre in the Los Angeles area.

Theatre West will present Winter Wishes: A Holiday Cabaret Theatre December 2- December 11, 2022, Friday and Saturday at 8:00, and Sunday at 2:00pm. The performances will be held at Theatre West. Tickets are $35 in advance, and $40 at the door.

Love, Actually, an evening of music celebrating love in all its forms will appear at Theatre West on March 12th and 19th. The cabaret is directed by Victoria Lavan, musical directed by Paul Cady, produced by Rick Simone-Friedland, and presented by Theatre West Musical Theatre Workshop.

Storybook Theatre will present its musical version of the classic story Goldilocks And The Three Bears. There is plenty of audience participation as the children help Goldilocks in the comical forest adventure with the three bears. Goldilocks learns that bears can be people, too.

The fundraiser THANK YOU FOR THE MUSIC! is an evening of songs under the stars directed and hosted by Bruce Kimmel, with musical direction by Richard Allen, produced by Kathleen Delaney for the Group Rep, will take place Monday, August 23rd at 8:00 pm and Tuesday, August 24th at 8:00 pm with a dessert buffet to follow catered by Great Grapes.

The release of the Original Cast Demo Recording of PEACH BOY a?" A New Musical is now available on all major music platforms including Spotify, iTunes, and Amazon. With music by Phil Luna and book & lyrics by Tony Pinizzotto, the album includes all 18 songs from the enchanting new coming-of-age musical based on the 200-year-old Japanese Fairytale of Momotarō: The Peach Boy. Actor/director Patrick Burke is nominated for a BWW Award for his outstanding direction of Avenue Q at Group Rep this past summer. This interview shows his deep connection to the show and desire to move it forward. You've been an active member of the Group Rep for years, as an actor and producer.  The Group Rep is not known for having musicals on their season schedules.  How did Avenue Q get on the 2019 Season Schedule?

The Group Rep's world premiere production of A Twisted Christmas Carol, written by Phil Olson, directed by Doug Engalla, produced by Alyson York, a Texas style spoof of Charles Dickens' “A Christmas Carol,” played to a sold out crowd at opening night. The play runs December 15, 2019 through January 12, 2020, Upstairs at the Lonny Chapman Theatre in North Hollywood, California.

A Twisted Christmas Carol marks Doug Engalla's eighth production as Director at The Group Rep. Doug has worked with Phil Olson since 1997 on a number of productions, including five World Premieres in the Don't Hug Me series (most recently, as director of Don't Hug Me, We're Family in 2018), as well as the 2016 World Premiere of A Nice Family Christmas (featuring Tony Award-nominated actor, Marcia Rodd) at The Group Rep. A Twisted Christmas Carol is Doug's sixth World Premiere as Director with Phil Olson. Doug's cast of Phil Olson's A Nice Family Gathering - also in 2016 at The Group Rep - earned a Best Ensemble, Small Theatre nomination from the NAACP Theatre Awards.
