Emily Trask, Carol Linnea Johnson & More to Lead Titan's All-Female OTHELLO
Queens-based Titan Theatre Company will conclude its critically acclaimed 2014/15 season with a signature take on Shakespeare's classic tragedy Othello featuring an ALL FEMALE CAST. The production will play a limited run April 17 - May 2, 2015 at Queens Theatre, the borough's premiere performing arts venue. Titan Theatre Company Artistic Director Lenny Banovez, who previously helmed Titan's hit productions of A Midsummer Night's Dream, Romeo and Juliet and Henry V, will direct. Shakespeare's most tragic hero squares off against arguably his greatest villain, in the classic tale of jealousy, betrayal, and vengeance. Watch as Iago leads 'The Moor' to the edge of sanity, by weaving a trail of deceit about the loyalty of a friend, and a wife's fidelity.
DRUNK SHAKESPEARE Extends Through August 9
Producer Scott Griffin has announced an eight-week extension of Drunk Shakespeare, an irreverent and outrageous new theatrical experience directed by David Hudson. Drunk Shakespeare will now play through August 9, 2014 at Quinn's Bar Upstairs (356 West 44th Street, 2nd Floor).
DRUNK SHAKESPEARE to Offer Late Night Performances this Weekend
Due to popular demand, The Drunk Shakespeare Society has added two special late night performances of DRUNK SHAKESPEARE on Friday, April 11 & Saturday, April 12 at 10PM. For these special performances, the 'Drunk Actor' from the 8PM performance will drink again at 10PM, adding an extra layer of drunken debauchery to the late night show. DRUNK SHAKESPEARE, an irreverent and outrageous new theatrical experience is directed by David Hudson, conceived by Scott Griffin & Three Day Hangover (David Hudson, Lori Wolter Hudson and Beth Gardiner) and produced by Scott Griffin.
