John Campione is a native of Dallas, TX and a graduate of Southern Methodist University, where he received two B.M. degrees in vocal performance and music education. He has been featured in theatres throughout the Metroplex as Man 3 in the upcoming Putting It Together at WaterTower Theatre (2013), The Soldier in Hello Again, Jake in The Most Happy Fella, Swing/Ensemble in the regional premiere of Bloody Bloody Andrew Jackson, Beethoven in Dog Sees God, Tony in West Side Story, Laurie in Little Women, Barrett in Titanic, the Musical, and Motel in Fiddler on the Roof. A student of Dale Dietert, he also performed a wide range of roles for the Meadows Opera Theatre, including Trial by Jury (Edwin), Il re pastore (Agenore), The Tender Land (Mr. Splinters), and The Two Orphans, (Pierre). Among his many honors are the Alice Jones Bearding Classical Musical Scholarship and the Classical performer of the Year Award from Cedar Valley College (2007), the Presser Award (2009), Thomas Hayward Award (2010) and Award for Excellence in Music (2010) from Meadows at SMU. John has been chosen as special soloist for multiple opening celebrations at the AT&T Performing Arts Center in Dallas, and he was featured soloist for both the 2010 SMU Honors Convocation and the all-university Commencement. In 2010 he participated in SpringboardNYC, a prestigious college-to-career transition program for young actors in New York sponsored by the American Theatre Wing.
