BIO

JENNIFER MUDGE can currently be seen on HBO's critical hit "Somebody Somewhere". She has also appeared as Robert De Niro’s oldest daughter in Martin Scorsese's THE IRISHMAN, and in the indie family baseball feature TWELVE, as well as NOSTALGIA, by Mark Pellington (with Ellen Burstyn and Jon Hamm), and WRITE WHEN YOU GET WORK, directed by Stacy Cochran. She was in THE DRUMMER opposite Danny Glover, and the indie feature BEAUTIFUL DREAMER. She was seen in "The Bite", “Instinct” and “Elementary”, all on CBS, and shot a pilot for CBS/Warner Bros., as the wife of Michael Chiklis and directed by Anthony Hemingway.


Most recent stage appearances include The NY Times Critic's digital pick TARTUFFE for Molière in the Park, the world premiere of Will Eno’s THE PLOT, directed by Oliver Butler for the Yale Rep, and Heidi Armbruster’s MRS.CHRISTIE at Dorset Theatre Festival. She also appeared in Alena Smith’s ICEBERGS at the Geffen Playhouse and starred opposite Matthew Perry in the West End record-breaking THE END OF LONGING at the Playhouse Theatre. Other roles include the Witch in the acclaimed revival of INTO THE WOODS for Fiasco at the Roundabout (nominee, Best Leading Actress in a Musical - Lucille Lortel Awards), OF GOOD STOCK at MTC, ROCKY on Broadway, and in Neil LaBute's HAPPY HOUR as part of LaMama's aDa Festival. She appeared opposite Matthew Broderick in the Roundabout’s Broadway production of THE PHILANTHROPIST, and was nominated for a Drama Desk Award for the first NY revival of DUTCHMAN, with Dulé Hill, at the Cherry Lane. She also played Maggie at the Geffen Playhouse in CAT ON A HOT TIN ROOF, with John Goodman.
Other New York theater includes THE BIG MEAL (Playwrights Horizons), directed by Sam Gold, DON'T GO GENTLE (MCC), OOH-RAH by Bekah Brunstetter (Atlantic), Stephen Belber’s FAULT LINES (Naked Angels), directed by David Schwimmer, GEOMETRY OF FIRE and Craig Wright’s THE PAVILION (Rattlestick Theater), the world premiere of Terrence McNally’s THE STENDHAL SYNDROME (Primary Stages), RECKLESS (Broadway), and ONLY THE END OF THE WORLD. She has worked regionally at Arena Stage, Bay Street, NY Stage & Film, AL Shakespeare, CATF, Sundance, Perry-Mansfield, Westport Playhouse, Williamstown, and many shows at Trinity Rep Company.
Other film and TV appearances include Hal Hartley’s indie feature MY AMERICA, recurring roles on "Shades of Blue" (NBC) and “BOSS” opposite Kelsey Grammer (Starz), DEAD MAN DOWN, YOU DON'T KNOW JACK (HBO), and Mary Harron’s short film, SONNET FOR A TOWNCAR, opposite Josh Charles, Stephen Belber’s DRIFTING ELEGANT, directed by Amy Glazer, LEFTY LOOSEY, “Madam Secretary”, “The Big C”, “The Good Wife”, “Mercy”, “Life is Wild”, “Canterbury’s Law”, “Law & Order” and “L&O: Criminal Intent”.
She runs a production company with Liesl Tommy, Crocodile Eyes, where they have projects in deep development with partners such as Lynn Nottage, Disney+, Alex Dinelaris, Sister Pictures, Wagner Johnson Productions, and Paramount+, among others.
Jennifer was a 2007 recipient of the Marian Seldes-Garson Kanin Fellowship from the Theater Hall of Fame. She is a proud company member of Theatre of War, and has worked with AITAF, as well as teaching at Brooklyn College, UVA, Brown-Trinity, and San Jose State, among others. She holds an MFA from Trinity Rep.
