Blending Lady Gaga-esque popstar theatricality with Blade Runner's dark comic vision, the world premiere of the Siamese Sex Show, a hip hop musical, takes place in the dystopian future. The mysterious conglomerate Monocorp fabricates an epidemic condemning intimacy to profit from its "safe" new pseudo-sex product called the Love Light. At an underground 'intimacy' speakeasy called "The Siamese Sex Show," four fallen popstars gather in collusion to plan their revenge against Monocorp's devious CEO. As the world teeters on the brink of destruction, can these unlikely heroes overcome their differences in time to stop Monocorp's evil agenda? 

Watts Village Theater Company will stage Michael Patrick Spiller's new play Follow, a family drama. Marcus and Daniel are getting married. Their foster son Noah calls them 'Dad & Pops'. They're a typical American family, juggling wedding plans and busy lives... until Marcus' religious father returns to town, leading a campaign against 'non-traditional marriage' that sends shock-waves through the community. After years of distance and denial, Marcus has one more chance to reconcile with his father and face the painful memories of his past, before he can move on to raise a family of his own.

Casa 0101 Theater and Mexica Films present 'Light In The Darkness,' a story of young gang member's journey from self-destruction to self-realization. Written by Victor Tamayo and directed and adapted by Ramon 'Monxi' Flores, the play will be presented at the new Casa 0101 Theater, 2102 E. First Street (at St. Louis Street), Boyle Heights, CA 90033. First Street (at St. Louis Street); Boyle Heights, CA.

Casa 0101 will celebrate the West Coast Premiere of PIE (Projects In Education) as two "preview" performances of its "Story Theatre" Program for Teachers, Community Leaders, PTA/PTO reps and of course children and families. These preview performances will be free and reservations are necessary. They will be held at 1:00PM on Friday, May 3rd and 7:00PM on Saturday, May 4th at Little Casa 0101 Theater in Boyle Heights.

PIE (Projects In Education) had its premiere in New York City's Central Park in the summer of 1991. The programming, created by Patrick Riviere (then Artistic Director of The Emerging Artists Project, Inc.) would go on to critical acclaim and much success in the New York Tri-State area and also Chicago, Illinois. Since that time, PIE has reached thousands of children and families in schools, parks, libraries, women's shelters, children's hospitals and other venues, often sponsored by the community, Riviere's own non-profits or through grants and donations.
