New Cast Announced For MATILDA THE MUSICAL
New casting has been announced for the Royal Shakespeare Company's West End production of Matilda The Musical which is now in its 10th year and continues to play to packed houses at the Cambridge Theatre.

A new behind-the-scenes video from the 10th birthday press day was released, featuring interviews with Tim Minchin (music and lyrics), Dennis Kelly (writer), Catherine Mallyon (Executive Director of the Royal Shakespeare Company), Elliot Harper (Miss Trunchbull) and Landi Oshinowo (Mrs Phelps).
London's Piccadilly Theatre to Reopen to the Public Following Ceiling Collapse
Following the ceiling collapsed during a performance of Death of a Salesman at London's Piccadilly Theatre last night, Westminster City Council, having conducted an investigation into the incident that occurred on Wednesday night at the Piccadilly theatre, confirmed today that the incident was caused by a localised water leak. It has deemed the venue safe for use and granted permission to reopen the theatre to the public, provided the affected area is covered and off-limits until repairs are completed.

Elliot Harper Will Play Miss Trunchbull in The UK & Ireland Tour Of MATILDA
The Royal Shakespeare Company has announced that Elliot Harper will play Miss Trunchbull in Matilda The Musical's UK and Ireland Tour from Tuesday 15 January at Theatre Royal Plymouth. The tour will then play at the Alhambra Theatre, Bradford (19 February - 23 March 2019), Edinburgh Playhouse (2 - 27 April 2019), The Bristol Hippodrome (7 May - 8 June 2019), Mayflower Theatre, Southampton (11 June - 6 July 2019) and Norwich Theatre Royal (16 July - 17 August 2019). The West End production will continue to play at the Cambridge Theatre, where it is now in its eighth year and is booking until 24 May 2020.
