Mint Theater Company announced that the Silver Lining Streaming Series, the on-demand streaming of the three-camera archival recordings (filmed in HD!), will conclude on June 27th with two of Mint’s most acclaimed hits: A Picture of Autumn by N.C Hunter, directed by Gus Kaikkonen and The Fatal Weakness by George Kelly, directed by Jesse Marchese.
U.S. Premiere Of GROUPIE by Sir Arnold Wesker Announced for New York City
The late Arnold Wesker is highly regarded as a distinguished voice of the British Theater. Following his death in January 2016, Vicky Featherstone, artistic director at the Royal Court Theater, said that his working-class characters and his outsider status changed who theater was for, and enabled a new generation of audience, actors and playwrights to feel they had a right to belong. Yet much of his work, while celebrated by scholars and historians the world over, is hardly ever produced for an American audience. But Director Charles Maryan is about to change that with GROUPIE.
Santa Barbara Symphony Presents Concerts for Young People
In response to growing demand, the Santa Barbara Symphony will present four Concerts for Young People over two days at the Granada Theatre - a twofold increase over last year. Performances will take place at 10 and 11:30 am on Thursday, January 26, and Friday, January 27.

Matthew Seadon-Young, Barbara Drennan and Joseph Prouse, recently joined the West End cast of Beautiful - The Carole King Musical to play Gerry Goffin (Carole King's husband and song-writing partner), Genie Klein (King's mother) and Donnie Kirshner (music publisher and producer). Cassidy Janson continues in the title role as well as Lorna Want as song-writer Cynthia Weil, a role for which she won the 2015 Olivier for Best Actress in a Supporting Role in a Musical, and Ian McIntosh as song-writer Barry Mann. Barbara Bailey Releases Young Adult Novel, CHANGING COURSE
Joan Williams, her parents, Kitty and Clarence, and her boyfriend, Chris, have taken the train to New York with the express purpose of seeing Vassar, where Joan had been accepted as a freshman in next fall's class. However, after looking deep into her heart, Joan realizes that there were other things she wanted to do first. She also does not want to miss her senior year at Hyde Park High School.

Mint Theater (Jonathan Bank, Artistic Director) today announced a two week extension for for the American Premiere of A Picture of Autumn by N.C. Hunter, directed by Gus Kaikkonen. The Mint production will now run until July 27th at its home (311 West 43rd Street).
Mint Theater Announces Its EnrichMINT Events for A PICTURE OF AUTUMN
Mint Theater (Jonathan Bank, Artistic Director) today announced its line-up of EnrichMint Events for its upcoming production of A Picture of Autumn by N.C. Hunter. For each of their productions, Mint Theater hosts a number of post-show speakers for what are called "EnrichMint" Events. These post-show discussions are free and open to the public. The speakers may be experts on an author or era, or leaders in a humanities field that may bring an entirely different perspective on the play.
Austin Pendleton to Step in for Louis Zorich in IVANOV
Austin Pendleton will step into the role of Lebedev beginning Friday, October 26 in his production of Anton Chekhov's IVANOV at Classic Stage Company (135 East 13th Street) replacing veteran actor Louis Zorich, who has withdrawn due to a foot injury. Pendleton performed the role of Lebedev in a 1990 production at Yale Repertory. IVANOV, which stars Ethan Hawke, Joely Richardson and Juliet Rylance, and is directed by Pendleton, is currently in previews, prior to an official opening Sunday, November 4. The cast also features Glenn Fitzgerald, Annette Hunt, Stephanie Janssen, Roberta Maxwell, George Morfogen, James Patrick Nelson, Anthony Newfield, Jonathan Marc Sherman, and Anne Troupe. IVANOV will play a limited engagement through Sunday, December 9.
