The Delbert Anderson Quartet will perform as part of the Indigenous Peoples Day Celebration at Idyllwild Arts on October 14, 2024. Led by Diné trumpet artist Delbert Anderson, the Quartet blends traditional Diné songs with jazz, funk, and hip-hop, while reflecting on the landscapes and history of the Navajo Nation. This event not only celebrates Indigenous contributions to the arts but also features educational presentations, glassblowing demonstrations, and a complimentary Indigenous foods luncheon. The celebration emphasizes community engagement and the importance of dialogue surrounding Native American history and culture.
