SHAKESPEARE TRANSLATE: THE COMPLETE WORKS

DEC 01, 2:30 PM

Two Clowns Google Translate Shakespeare entire work 15 times and perform them. What are you going to do about it?

ABOUT THIS SHOW

Two Clowns Google Translate Shakespeare entire work 15 times and perform them to the highest of standards. What are you going to do about it?

Devon Loves ME Productions has taken their favorite bits of every one of Shakespeare's plays and put them through Google Translate before putting them back to English. Two clowns will perform this nonsense-ified text as perfectly as any classical Shakespearean actor would.

By deconstructing language, they can examine how we interpret the classical text in the 21st century, while also allowing the Shakespearean text to let loose from its academic chains and be funny once more.

Cast/Crew:
Emily Conlon (Actor/Collaborator) – she/her is a Brooklyn based actor, singer, voice actor, and goofball. This New Jersey native graduated with a BFA in Acting from Pace University in 2021. Previous credits include All At Once (The Tank) and How To Make Friends and Then Kill Them (Stand Up Productions). In her free time, Emily supports creative artists in her position as board member of The Ninety-Nine Cent Players or through volunteering with CO/LAB.

If he's not performing or working on performances, you can most likely find him at home making music on his laptop. Some recent credits include his solo act of Albert Einstein's Horny Son (at The Idiot's Hour, Basement Bumz, & Heaven Can Wait) as well as Squirrel-Boy Barfinkle Jones in Asylum: A Love Story (at Sand's Point Preserve).

William Shakespeare and Google Translate (Co-Writers) – Need we say more.
