After her cancer diagnosis, Grace invites her children back to their family home to decide which of them deserves to inherit the property. Set against the backdrop of Polish history, the play explores the enduring effects of war and communism on each generation.
Julia Wosiak, an acclaimed actor, playwright, and producer originally from Poland, is making significant waves in international theater and film. Her work is celebrated for its deep cultural narratives and innovative storytelling, particularly in Our House. Inspired by Polish history, the play was praised by audiences at the New York Theater Festival as “a profound exploration of family and history.”
Wosiak’s films, including GROM and Fortune of Chance, have been featured in prestigious festivals such as the Philadelphia International Filmmaker Awards and the New York Shorts International Film Festival. The latter is renowned as a Canadian Screen Awards qualifier and a launching pad for filmmakers, with many participants achieving Oscar nominations and wins.
