New York Cares, the city’s largest volunteer network, will host the inaugural Brews & Views fundraiser on Sunday, September 8th from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Threes Brewing, located at 517 Clayton Rd on Governors Island. Proceeds will benefit the fifth annual Stand with Students campaign, which is supporting New York City public schools and students during the 2024-2025 academic year. Governors Island is accessible by ferry via the Trust for Governors Island ferry and NYC Ferry. Additional information can be found here.
Join New York Cares for an unforgettable afternoon where you'll enjoy panoramic views of the city’s skyline and craft beers by Brooklyn's Threes Brewing. Afterward, you’re welcome to explore the hidden gems of Governors Island. Participants can select The Viewer ticket, a $30 donation to Stand with Students which includes two craft beers; or The Brewer, a $50 donation to the campaign that includes unlimited craft beer.
This year’s Stand with Students campaign aims to raise $500,000 to support the city’s schools and students and fill nearly 20,000 backpacks with essential school supplies for the upcoming school year. All donations made during the Stand with Students campaign will support the hundreds of year-round projects that New York Cares manages. These include academic tutoring, college preparation, and other education programs in areas like fitness, art, and Social-Emotional Learning (SEL) to help students and families thrive.
New York Cares is at 517 Clayton Road on Governors Island , New York, NY.
