What you'll learn in this stand up comedy class:
Welcome to your first step in stand-up comedy!
We offer a fun, positive and supportive stand-up comedy class for beginners to explore their sense of humor while growing confidence and improving public speaking skills.
Originally called “Caroline’s Comedy School” – we’ve been teaching comedy classes for over fifteen years and know how to turn you into the funniest version of yourself possible.
This is for six class sessions that each runs two-and-a-half-hours, plus a graduation show at St Marks Comedy Club in Manhattan, and a free video of your performance!
Over the course of six weeks, students will learn stage presence, delivery basics, joke types, and insight into the comedy business.
Our beginner class focuses on the basics of stand-up comedy writing and performing. We do not accept more than 12 students into each class, so be sure to register early!
Classes meet near Lincoln Center in Manhattan. After six sessions, there will be a comedy class graduation show.
The show will be 90 minutes long, and will be held at St Marks Comedy Club at 12 St Marks Place.
