EBE Ensemble (Eric Alba, Artistic Director; Joe Mullen & Montgomery Sutton, Co-Executive Directors) will present the World Premiere of John Prescod’s Pre-Disposal directed by Joshua Luria.  Performances will begin on Wednesday, July 8 and will open Monday, July 13 through July 25 at New York’s Access Theater (380 Broadway at White Street). Pre-Disposal takes place on a hot Bed-Stuy morning; three young men meet all looking for something different. One is looking for someone to confide in, another is looking for a story to tell and the third is looking for an opportunity. Pre-Disposal is a savage comedy about race, terror and the role of art in an unforgiving part of the world.

Cast includes:  DK Bowser (“Lipstick Jungle”, Film:Slow Jam King), Deborah Green (Miss White House, Film: Infamous) , Paul Pryce (Film: The End Is The Beginning, Romeo & Juliet Theatreworks National Tour) , and Matt Schock (Atlantic Theater Company's "What's That Smell: The Music of Jacob Sterling").

John Prescod (playwright) is a founding member and the resident playwright of EBE Ensemble, where he wrote and directed Pig and an adaptation of Chekhov's Marriage Proposal. His play Reck premiered with the EBE Ensemble in October 2008, directed by Jackie Danziger. This past February, he directed The Ensemble’s production of Matthew Paul Olmos' The Bus That Got Cut Over Its Eye.

Joshua Luria (director) is a founding member of EBE Ensemble, where he directed Ira Gamerman's Dated: A Cautionary Tale for Facebook Users. He received his BFA in Drama from NYU's Tisch School of the Arts, where he studied with the Atlantic Theater Company and at Jim Calder's Commedia dell'Arte program in Florence, Italy.

EBE Ensemble was founded in 2006 by a group of NYU theater graduates. It is a theater company dedicated to producing provocative new work on stage, intermixing classical themes with youthful and modern ideas and interpretations. Now in their second season, EBE Ensemble has produced six fully staged productions and created the “You Fill in the Blank” play festival and competition, EBE also sponsored a national one-act competition which resulted in their production of Elephants on Parade 2009.
