Partial Comfort Adds Performances of A BRIGHT NEW BOISE, Now Thru 10/2

Partial Comfort Productions has added performances to its critically acclaimed production of A BRIGHT NEW BOISE by Samuel D. Hunter, directed by Davis McCallum (Chuck Mee's Queens Boulevard at Signature Theater, Quiara Hudes' Elliot: A Soldier's Fugue). Performances run
through October 2nd at The Wild Project where Partial Comfort is in its 2nd season as a resident company. By popular demand, two performances have been added: Tuesday, September 28 at 8pm and Saturday, October 2 at 2pm.

In A BRIGHT NEW BOISE, a disgraced evangelical from rural Idaho is forced to take a minimum-wage job at the local Hobby Lobby craft store in an effort to re-unite with his estranged son. But will this
miraculous reconciliation happen before the Second Coming of Christ?

The production stars Andrew Garman (The Bereaved), Sarah Nina Hayon (Drama Desk Nominee for Rearviewmirror), Danielle Slavick (Sheila Callaghan's That Pretty Pretty or The Rape Play), John Patrick Doherty and Matt Farabee with set by Jason Simms, costumes by Whitney Locher,
lighting by Raquel Davis, original music by Ryan Rumery, video design by Rocco D'Santi, casting by Judy Bowman Casting and stage management by Tara Nachtigall.

Samuel D. Hunter is originally from Moscow, Idaho. He is a graduate of NYU, the Iowa Playwrights Workshop, and Juilliard. Recent productions include Jack's Precious Moment (59E59), Five Genocides (Ohio Theatre), and I Am Montana (Arcola Theatre in London). His newest play, Norway will be produced regionally at the Phoenix Theater of Indianapolis and Boise Contemporary Theater in 2011. His plays, which also include Idaho / Dead Idaho (2009 Princess Grace Award
Runner-Up), Norman Rockwell Killed My Father, Abraham (A Shot in The Head), Hells Canyon, Atlasing Sodom and God of Meat, have been developed at the O'Neill Playwrights Conference, Bay Area Playwrights Festival, PlayPenn, Ojai Playwrights Conference, the Lark's Playwrights Workshop, Juilliard, LAByrinth Theater Company, Rattlestick, Seven Devils Playwrights Conference, and elsewhere.

Awards: 2008-2009 PONY Fellowship from the Lark Theater, two Lincoln Center Le Compte du Nuoy Awards, others. Internationally, his work has been translated into Spanish and presented in Mexico City, and he has worked in the West Bank with Ashtar Theatre of Ramallah and Ayyam al-Masrah of Hebron.

Partial Comfort Productions is a collaborative ensemble devoted to the development and presentation of original new theater. The company was co-founded in 2002 by Chad Beckim and Molly Pearson.
