BIO

Thomas Bradshaw is a playwright and director known for his provocative and controversial works that explore issues of race, sexuality, and identity. Born in 1978 in Los Angeles, Bradshaw grew up in a predominantly white suburb and was exposed to the arts at an early age. However, Bradshaw has defended his work as a reflection of the world we live in, and as a way of confronting uncomfortable truths.
In addition to his work as a playwright, Bradshaw has also directed a number of productions, including his own plays and works by other playwrights. He has collaborated with a number of theater companies, including The Flea Theater, where he served as a resident playwright from 2011 to 2014.
Bradshaw has also worked in television and film, writing and directing episodes of the HBO series "The Deuce" and the Netflix series "Master of None." He has also written screenplays, including "Intimacy," which was a finalist for the Sundance Screenwriters Lab.
Bradshaw's most recent work is the play "Carlyle," which premiered Off-Broadway at the Goodman Theatre in Chicago in 2019. The play, which explores issues of race and class in contemporary America, received positive reviews and further established Bradshaw as a leading voice in American theater.
