Due to a scheduling conflict Allyce Beasley will not be able to perform in the upcoming Fringe Festival comedy, The Grecian Formula. The talented Ramona Floyd will step in to play the role of Phye.  The Grecian Formula is presented by Followspot Entertainment in association with The Post Theatre Company. This hilarious comedy, written by Carter Anne McGowan and directed by Mary Jo Lodge, will have its world premiere at the 2008 NY International Fringe Festival and will perform at The Theatres at 45 Bleecker. Performance schedule: 8/8 @ 5:15pm, 8/12 @ 10:00pm, 8/16 @ 7:30pm, 8/17 @ noon, 8/20 @ 9:45pm.

The Greeks are credited with the creation of the first democracy, the first Olympic Games, the first catapult…and the first play, which naturally spawned the first producer, the first snide critic, the first "idea man" (and therefore the first ghostwriter), and the first award for best play.  The Grecian Formula, playwright Carter Anne McGowan's historically accurate* (*by accurate we mean completely made up.) recreation of the backstage comedy behind the first drama – complete with wily slaves, choral odes, heartfelt romances, and even an eleven o'clock number – asks the question: How far would you go to win the phallus?

Ramona Floyd  is a New York-based actor, writer, and filmmaker. She has appeared on stage, in film, television, animae/yakuza, voiceover and an internet MoveOn.org spot directed by John Sayles. Ramona's feature film credits include Jingle Hell (aka Christmas Present – available at a Walmart near you) and the soon to be released Humor Me, directed by Chris Towey and Warren Etheredge. She can also be seen in an upcoming segment of the Onion News Channel online. Off-Broadway acting credits include the title role in Medea, and roles in Pygmalion, The Maids and Candida for the Jean Cocteau Repertory Theatre. Most recently, she completed a very successful run of The Monument with Clockwork Theater at the Clurman Theater. She was also a proud participant in the Lark Theatre's U.S./Mexico Exchange workshop of Events With Life's Leftovers (Acontecimientos Con Apartes De La Vida) directed by Jackson Gay. Other NY stage roles include Tonya Ritter in Man Measures Man, Iris Henniman in Down The Road and annual performances in Gone In 60 Secs, a multimedia short play collaboration between the HarroGate Theatre, UK and Brooklyn College. As a stage actor, she has appeared in The Balcony, Blue Window, Critic's Choice, Rhinoceros, The Well of Horniness, La Ronde, and See How They Run, among others. She is a proud advocate of Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS and The Actor's Fund, for whom she participated in the 11th Annual Nothing Like A Dame event at the Imperial Theatre. As a writer and filmmaker, her short comedy films include Destination Madrid, Where's Cupid and Banana Tree. Ramona is also a producer for the independent feature film, The Changeling, and is currently a producer for First Sundays Comedy Film Festival at the Pioneer Theater in New York.
