Review: CLUE: A NEW COMEDY, PROVES THE GAMES AFOOT at STRAZ CENTER

Adapted from the much-loved 1985 film, and the Hasbro Board Game, Clue: A New Comedy, is a murder mystery of a farcical nature that was written by Sandy Rustin and features additional materials by Hunter Foster and Eric Price.
Back to School: Theatre Kid Edition! A Student Blog

As you can probably tell from my opening image, a lot is racing through my mind this school year. There’s the aspect of being a senior in high school, being a freshman in college next year, and maintaining my favorite hobby in the world; Theater.
Review: Musical Theatre West Revisits Classic 42ND STREET in Long Beach

For the most part, MTW's brand-new, admirably plucky 2024 production—now on stage through February 25—succeeds as an entertaining, visually cheerful show, filled with strong performances, a rousingly robust orchestra, and dynamic, zestfully tap-tastic dance numbers. Despite its lack of any real, serious stakes, the show itself is still a fun time.

Review: COME FROM AWAY at Providence Performing Arts Center

Come From Away isn’t just a must-see, it’s a must-feel, so take advantage of seeing this tremendous production in person, while it’s at the Providence Performing Arts Center and get “all the feels.”
Review: COME FROM AWAY National Tour at Durham Performing Arts Center

Come From Away is based on a true story of when the isolated community of Gander, Newfoundland played host to the world. What started as an average day in a small Canadian town turned into an international sleep-over when 38 planes, carrying thousands of people from across the globe, were diverted to Gander's air strip on September 11th, 2001. Undaunted by culture clashes and language barriers, the people of Gander cheered the stranded travelers with music, an open bar, and the recognition that they're all part of a global family.

Review: COME FROM AWAY at Shea's Buffalo Theatre

The best uplifting evening of theatrical magic is happening again just in time for the Christmas season. And no, it's not the annual Christmas Pageant at your family church. It is the remarkable true story of goodness that came out of the unthinkable tragedy of 9/11. COME FROM AWAY has returned to the Shea's Buffalo stage and it continues to enthrall audiences.
Review: COME FROM AWAY at The Overture Center

What did     These 12 actors have created the most perfect professional ensemble show I have ever seen. There was no stand out star of this show, there were no pro or antagonists. There was only circumstances and stories. Often reviewers say things like, “This is not a show to be missed!’ “Catch it while you can!” and other such things, so I won’t. But I will tell you that you will be missing out on some of the best theater I have seen. So, get your tickets, it’s only “90 minutes without an intermission” and worth every second. This is a show I personally hope to see again and again.

Review: COME FROM AWAY at Broadway San Jose

What did our critic think of COME FROM AWAY at Broadway San Jose? Broadway San Jose's Come From Away is far and away a show of delight, laughter, pathos and altogether great story-telling. The show - with book, music and lyrics by Irene Sankoff and David Hein - 'tells the true story of 38 planes and almost 7,000 passengers from around the world that were diverted to the small community of Gander, Newfoundland on September 11, 2001, doubling its population in an instant.' Using a documentary theater approach, Sankoff and Hein drew from interviews with the people of Gander and 'the plane people,' as they affectionately came to be called, to craft their loving, hugely funny and deeply touching show.
Review: COME FROM AWAY at San Jose Center For The Perfoming Arts

What did our critic think of COME FROM AWAY at San Jose Center For The Perfoming Arts? Without a single showtune you'll be humming long after, this national touring production of Come From Away is moving, triumphant, engaging and endearing. Too bad this stunningly staged run is so surprisingly short. The remarkable assembled cast, each performing multiple roles, bring to life the anxious airline passengers grounded by 9/11 and the townspeople of Gander, Newfoundland who magnanimously come to their aid.

Review: Uplifting COME FROM AWAY Tour Makes Return Trip to OC's Segerstrom Center

Endearingly inspirational and beautifully performed, COME FROM AWAY---as experienced in this relaunched post-lockdown tour now playing at Segerstrom Center for the Arts in Costa Mesa through June 26, 2022---certainly proves itself worthy of repeat visits. At its core, the show is a hopeful, positive reminder that unconditional kindness does still exist in our world, even if evidence of such behavior is harder to find these days.
Review: COME FROM AWAY at ASU Gammage
