EMILIE'S VOLTAIRE Opens at Living Image Arts 1/22

Arthur Giron has received many awards for his impressive and acclaimed body of work.  

None so prestigious as the 2000 Galileo Prize specifically created to enable him to complete his masterwork, Emilie's Voltaire on which he has been working for eight years.

Emilie's Voltaire is a true story about an 18th century sexual symphony is opening off-Broadway on January 22, 2009. Robert Boardman stars as Voltaire and Amy Lynn Stewart stars as Emilie.
 
The completed play will receive its World Premiere on Thursday, January 22nd, as the inaugural event that will announce the Living Image Arts Theatre Company's 5th Season; a season that will initiate, foster and develop 20 new American plays. 

Preview performances will begin at the Samuel Beckett Theatre (410 West 42nd Street – between 9th & 10th Avenues) on Saturday, January 10th and continue through Wednesday, January 21st.
 
Directed by Kevin Confoy, Emilie's Voltaire is being designed by Jito Lee (Scenery), Jake DeGroot (Lighting), Carol Pelletier (Costumes) and Geoffrey Roecker (Sound).
 
Set during the French Enlightenment, the play chronicles the volcanic, law-breaking, sexually-driven, intellectually-fuelled, sixteen-year love affair between Francois-Marie Arouet (Voltaire)
and Gabrielle Emilie Le Tonnelier de Breteuil, Marquise du Chatelet (Emilie).

The show will be peformed on the following schedule: Tuesdays – Saturdays @ 8:00 pm, Saturdays @ 3:00 pm, and Sundays @ 3:00 pm
